Just can't get Google Photos unlimited working. /system/etc/sysconfig has both pixel_2016 and pixel_2017 xml in this ROM and I even tried setting it 777 perms but can't get unlimited working for the life of it. Any help here anyone who got this working.
I used magisk hide props config to hide as Pixel 4a, but it shows in google photos as Pixel 5, and I do not get any options for upload quality

Is the microlag gone in the latest build 5.2? Or does it still persist?
Just did a full factory reset / image install flashing December to both slots. The followed installation instructions in the OP, except side loaded via TWRP instead of installing. The ROM feels super smooth now. Hopefully it stays that way over the next couple days as things settle.

Hi everyone, I've tried flashing a bunch of roms (lineageOS, ProtonOS and now this one), and everyone has a problem with the back camera working 2/10 times. Tomorrow I'll try to flash the stock ROM to see if it's an hardware issue, meanwhile anyone has any suggestions?

for root you can use patched boot.img this rom, extract payload.bin this rom with python to get the boot.img, patch boot.img with magisk manager then you get magisk_patched.img flash this with fastboot

Far safer to fastboot twrp and flash the latest canary magisk zip than mess around with patching images and all the extra steps
They are equally safe. I dont bother with magisk, but patching boot.img is guaranteed to work whereas flashing the zip can be hit or miss. I will attach boot.imgs with next builds
