I am aware of the Crdroid 8.2 version in a TG channel and was just wondering because it was labelled unofficial. Hopefully, X01bd won't be dropped next month with 7.16 and someone will step in as new maintainer.

I am looking forward to it too just like you. the crdroid 8.2 unofficial version is using a different kernel though.
But what matters most is I hope someone takes it up and x01bd has a new maintainer. (legacy07 is a really cool guy I have been using his ported ROM's for different phones dating back to 2017, never disappointed)
What I'm looking forward to the most is that hopefully, the occasional bugs on my phone will be fixed. It's probably not due to crdroid but I flashed some questionable things on my phone so I could use viper4android (mostly selinux permissive/enforcing things) and since then when I reset my phone, there's a chance wifi won't work or systemui will crash when I try to open wifi settings. Not even clean flashes could solve the problem.
I'm hoping that transitioning into a A12 rom could do something about it.

I am no developer. I just got the link from someone I know. It is an unofficial version that comes with ota support.
