Me too had this same problem. Flash the twrp once more from the fastboot.
Thanks, saved me a long night.
I also feel the brightness low issue as on oos around 50% brightness slider is okFlashed this rom and loving it so far.... Some bugs I found, which I'm not sure are problem from my end or it's a general problem.
1. This lockscreen overlapping
2. Play store and google apps sometimes gets hanged. I flashed the gaps build cause when I'm trying to flash nikgaps omni, it says not enough space available.
3. Nit: The overall brightness I'm feeling a bit low compare to oos. Even with high brightness toggle on. The in between brightness levels seems a bit low
4. Also the charging speed is bit slow. Anyone noticed?
Nothing major issue. Still an awesome rom. Yet to explore a lot of things. :
Thank you so much for this awesomeness

Try resizing your system partition from TWRP, that fixed the too little space error for me.
Everything works fine for me except back gesture haptic feedback (i think it's a bug).On DotOS 5.1.1 and the overall experience is great but, a few things stand out:
-The fingerprint stopped working as soon as I set it up
-some normal store apps caused severe crashes
-The system sounds notifications dont follow the hardware notification restrictions (still getting notification sounds when hardware slider set to vibrate)
-No haptic feedback for back gesture (available in all other android 11 & even android 10 roms)
-Battery icon hiding for status bar does not work
-No advanced power menu option, not even in developer settings
As I said, the roms is great! Performance is smooth (all things considered), not sure yet about battery life as I installed it for a few hours. But, because of this list above, especially the fingerprint issue (which I understand that there is only like 1 or 2 actually decent fingerprint drivers for android 11 aosp), I sadly cannot use this as a daily driver.
Amazing work on the Rom and hopefully you guys can get those kinks worked out!

You can find advance reboot option in
customisation > system > miscellaneous
And battery icon hiding is also working just disable button in
customisation > status bar > percentage style
Alert slider is working fine. Didn't face any app crash. I'm on gapps version if you are facing any crash then try dirty flash. And I didn't find battery icon hiding option in Rom.Thanks for the insight on advanced reboot options.
Fingerprint still doesnt work for me, does it for you?
Also, the battery icon doesnt hide for me, I want to keep the percentage and hide the icon and I could on other roms so not sure if its just my phone.
Also, some apps are crashing but that may just be my version of NikGapps installed.
Is the hardware slider working properly for you? From what I understand about it, if you slide to vibrate, thats supposed to set all notifications to vibrate and silent to silent (atleast, thats how it is in native OOS and how it worked in all other roms), but my notifications are still making sounds when the slider is set to vibrate.

Apart from this you could wait for the new rom (DotFE) which is under development and devs are working hard on this rom so you could wait for that also. It's a very cool rom with unique features. Atleast I'm very excited about this rom
Rom is really good. Try clean flash if you want.Oh dont get me wrong, no doubt this Rom is awesome and is fairly stable. Just, if I cant get the slider and crashing issue fixed, I will have to switch to another rom til then, possibly even back to OOS 10 cuz most android 11 roms are buggy for op6t. Even compared to EvoX (very hyped rom), this rom feels more stable and fluid, but those discrepancies I proclaimed earlier would keep me from having this be a daily driver if I cant get them fixed lol. I chose the vanilla and just flash core gapps cuz I want to minimize my google lock as much as possible lol.
TBH I also miss that feature but after all it's just second release since DotOs v5 and Alexander is a pro developer. Tried other roms but DotOs satisfies me so I can compromise for these minor bugs. May be DotFE could be released today or tomorrow. Believe me it's a good rom. Thanks to @SevralT I'm the beta tester of the DotFE.

This rom looks promising indeed. Going to try it soon.
Are there any bugs in the Gapps version as compared to Vanilla build?
I am currently on the EvoX 5.6 latest build, and I want to switch to DotOS 5.0.1 Gapps version. What are the exact steps to be followed for proper installation (along with TWRP and Root)? Help would be appreciated.
