Thanks, that's so counter-intuitive (also not instructed here...) I miss non a/b flashing.
Yeah weird to begin with but every ROM swap will require a format data.

My guide that's never let me down is here:

A lot simpler than some methods.

I'm on the 5.2 test build and it looks good so far. Except for Bluetooth: I can't get audio through any of my headphones. They connect, are recognized as APTX devices with SBC support as well, but none of these codecs produce any output.
Three more details:
- this only effects media playback, while calls work fine
- same effect with non-APTX headphones or speakers
- I did a clean install, including "format data", on top of oos11

Real bummer as this is one of the things I use my device for the most: playing back music and videos.

However, I've seen others complain about the same issue on stock OOS on the 8 series, too.

Thanks I'll check it out.

Right now I'm trying to figure out why this rom fails the safetynet whereas it didn't previously.

I have the same issue. Have you resolved it?

After many failures and glitches and weird things not working properly, I have managed to install dotOS and it is absolutely fantastic. Netflix even works with zero work or effort, brilliant. I am having one problem though: this time (I think the relevant difference was dotOS gapps rather than nikgapps or opengapps) I now only have pixel launcher than than dotOS launcher installed. Whilst it doesn't have the options to change labels the dotOS one is way better than pixel. Is there any way to install it manually onto my device? I hate my recents animation being inconsistent, and Android 11 has even less quickswitch launchers than 10
