Found an answer for this one, sideload installer is unified with the apk, you just rename the extension. Very cool!

On the page it say its not recommended... It's possible linage caters for people who want to flash magisk as a zip? im not game to try it yet but damn it's annoying re-patching the boot image each update

I flashed the zip with no problems after having already patched the boot img. I had previously purchased Franco Kernel Manager app which includes a flasher, so I actually used that rather than the LOS recovery and adb sideload. I have yet to receive an OTA update to know whether Magisk will survive though.

I have a Pixel 3. You didn't mention it was freezing on boot. That was not the symptom I had - it was just random freezes, not on boot.

You can get ad blocking without systemless hosts or AdAway by using the AdGuard DNS servers. https://adguard.com/en/blog/adguard-dns-new-addresses.html Also, change your Private DNS to dns.adguard.com.

Another alternative is to use the Steven Black hosts file with systemless hosts. https://github.com/StevenBlack/hosts

Yeah, I haven't got back to debugging hosts yet, but I may try grabbing a hosts file for Steven Black if it's only a problem with AdAway. Thanks for the suggestions

Trying to see if it's less likely to occur on custom, data on this is sparce.

All versions of lineage 18, when I play PUBG mobile, I always get sudden shutdowns, crashes, every game is the same, the same thing happens again when I enter the game, and the most recent version 12/21 2021 has the same error, someone help me.

No issues on my blueline, unless you are referring to the "Speech Services by Google" issue "waiting for network connection". That is not a lineage problem, it is a problem with the update google pushed a couple of days ago.

I just flashed lineage 18.1 with gapps and when I fire up a game; my game ways it won't run without Google Play services. I see Google Play services in Titanium Backup. Any thoughts with this issue? Thanks in advance

Edit: I flashed OpenGApps nano and it works!

These two fixes alone got me going on the stock Android 11 and 12 ROMs, but for some reason it's not working on Lineage 18.1

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe try a different version of USNF? I'm using USNF Version 1.2.0, which is pretty old but SafetyNet passes for me. Pixel 3 with Lineage 18.1 and only MagiskHide Props Config plus USNF.

No, I'm not sure what happened but I reflashed everything and no issues anymore. Runs smoothly

I have an OTG endoscope I used with my previous phone but can't get it to work on the pixel 3xl using this rom. I never tried it on the stock rom so I don't know if this a pixel 3 issue or lineage.

I tried 3 or 4 different OTG camera apps. The camera's leds come on when I connect it to the phone but the camera is never detected in the app.


EDIT: Good news. I tried another endoscope I purchased a couple years ago and its working fine. It looks identical to the first one I tried. The first one was purchased a long time ago. I used it on a lg g2.
