Hey! I have two questions as I'm looking forward to flash this rom. First is, is MiCam present and if yes, has the yellow tint been fixed? And second, is there the option to ignore the notch space (full screen apps)? Thanks.

Don't know about the notch space but most a11 do have mi cam now. If they don't you can flash yourself simply here you go https://camera.aeonax.com/

Could you let me know how it is after prolonged use? I was planning on switching because of the awesome customisations but held off coz arrow seems to have great support.
As of now (2 days of use), the battery life is good, the customization is top notch, the stability is nice and the snappiness overall is great. However, the updater is seemingly broken for now and I don't know for the ROM support as of now, last version was published on June 13th, we'll see.

When the developer really supports it than it should be better and better. The problem we have here is that are so many ROMs appearing, and all developers expect we should help with testing, and even when there are enough users that are ready to do that, some just leave the project. As for now, I see that PixelOS, Arrow, Lineage and PixelExperience are really good supported. I am on Arrow but I might test this one in a couple of weeks.

PixelOS is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, bootanimation)
This is a fork of Pixel Experience with a few tweaks, while PixelishExperience comes with a lot of customisations on the top of PixelOS to provide a good experience for a wide range of users.

    Device Specific Issues:
    • None or You tell me.

    Requirements
    • Latest Android 11 firmware for ginkgo users
    • Latest Android 10 (as of now) firmware for willow users

    Downloads
Get the latest PixelOS Build for Xiaomi Redmi Note 8/8T Download
    Firmware https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/ginkgo/
    https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/willow/
    Magisk (optional) https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases

    Whats different from "OFFICIAL" PixelExperience

Note: GApps are included, don't flash seperately and We highly recommend to use latest official TWRP or any stable recovery for flashing PixelOS

    Flashing Instructions
Clean flash (coming from a different ROM):

    • Download ROM from the link above
    • Download Magisk v21.4 or newer (optionally)
    • Reboot to recovery
    • Format data (if encrypted)
    • Wipe system, vendor, cache, dalvik, data
    • Flash ROM zip
    • Ginkgo users: Flash latest android 11 firmware (link above)
    • Willow users: Flash latest android 10 firmware (link above)
    • Reboot and voila!
    • To get root access, reboot to recovery after ROM setup and flash magisk.

Updating to a newer build (dirty flash):
    • Wipe system, vendor, cache, dalvik
    • Flash ROM zip and magisk (optional)
    • Reboot and voila!
