Has anyone been following the Telegram group or whatever? Any new maintainer on the horizon?

There is a crowdfunding goal for buying a candidate maintainer the device but it doesn't seem like it's going to hit the goal. Outside of that not much. 8t got one already though

As much as crowdfunding would help, I understand why they're a little hesitant posting anything about it. The forum rules say "donations up front are not allowed", it's not very specific though and I don't know what would be considered "up front". But in general, it says to not post anything with the intention of selling things.

However, it does allow asking for donations in your signature. I believe it would work well for raising donations than leaving it blank.

I also merged some kernel changes and the volume controls are now working again when casting. NOTE: This build is intended for personal use. Did you follow a tutorial or are you just good with this stuff? I would like to learn it but the information like the build page looks a bit too simple. I'm sure there are more things to this then the guide mentions.

J'ai également fusionné certaines modifications du noyau et les commandes de volume fonctionnent à nouveau lors de la diffusion. REMARQUE : Cette version est destinée à un usage personnel. est-ce que cette rom prend en charge OTA ? aussi, est-ce que j'aurai des problèmes si je flashe la mise à jour ?

ota il faut demander à la personne qui fait évoluer la rom car à la base le projet est abandonner .mais la rom tourne nikel tu peux l'installer avec patch de janvier

The build guide is pretty good. The only thing you need are the right repositories (device tree, kernel, vendor ...). After that you can just follow the official PE guide. If you use my manifest instead of the PE one, you don't even need to bother with finding the former. More generally I found the videos from AlaskaLinuxUser to be a good start to learn/understand the basics.

No OTA. I flashed it dirty and it seems to work fine.

I don't plan to add OTA nor do I have the infrastructure to do that.

I'm a little short on free time right now, but I plan to fix a few more things (like Google Pay) and maybe maintain an unofficial build after that (but no promises haha).

Yeah I've looked at Alaska but it's still a lot to take in, especially while I'm still learning basic Linux. Thanks for the tips tho, it looks a lot more doable now.
