Do we have to format data after using finalize.zip?

I'm using the Nov 25 rom right now. I flashed this version several times for various reasons in the last couple of days. My processes below. Sorry for the long post.

First time, coming directly from evolution X with modded magisk installed:

1. Boot to twrp
2. Flashed syberia
3. Factory reset
4. Reboot

Everything worked fine.

5. Came back to twrp and flashed Nik gapps and magisk.

Second time, with syberia Nov 25 version installed, I flashed black twrp and got stuck booting into fastboot.

1. Boot to twrp
2. Flash syberia
3. Factory reset
4. Reboot

No luck.

5. Back to twrp.
6. Flashed syberia again (I now had syberia on both slots)
7. Reboot to twrp
8. Flashed Nik gapps
9. Flashed modded magisk
10. Factory reset.
11. Reboot

Booted fine and went through setup but no magisk installed. I had to go back to twrp and flash magisk again to get root.

Third, fourth, fifth time with syberia Nov 25 installed
1. Boot to twrp
2. Flash syberia
3. Flash black twrp
4. Reboot to twrp
5. Flash Nik gapps
6. Flash modded magisk
7. Factory reset
8. Reboot

You can also try flashing the older syberia build then if its booting for you,you can dirty flash the latest one.

Sorry it didn't work for you and @knox58. Maybe try dirty flashing from the last version that works for you like @raj3534 suggested. It didn't work for me, but might work for you.

The older version on 06-11-2020 has no problem. How sure you are,dirty flash, it will boot system? Why can't both 17 and 25 th going to Bootloader? No other previous versions has any problems. If you did dirty flash,tell me the way and from which version you flashed dirty flash the latest version.please.

So how you are flashing ? Please the way dirty flash? Wipe data,cache anything or just reboot recovery flash Rom Reboot recovery ,Flash Nik Gapps, boot system only.? No wipe Dalvik or Data? Can I update via dirty flash from 6th November build to 25th build?

yes you can update over 6th november build..just get the 6th november build up and running. if its done then reboot to recovery and flash the latest build without wiping anything..then reboot to system and you are done

Try flashing the Magisk Modded in the OP

I did as I mentioned. Rom dated boot success. After settings i reboot recovery,Flashed Syberia Latest Rom. Boot system, unfortunately goes Boot Loader. Now I give up . All ways did, but it was in vain. Only for this 17 and 25 th version. Any way thanks to all who direct me to do different steps.

Me too spent much time and effort. Everything is in vain. Tried Dirty flash from 6th November Edition. That's works great. But Dirty flash it goes to bootloader

been staying on the side lines after earlier failure to install...

seeing more failures by others, one wonders what could be systemically wrong that is preventing boots, could it be:
1) people flashing when they have op6t and not op6?
2) could there be regional differences in the actual op6 that makes some versions of the phone fail with the dev's (and presumably those silent happy flashers' version) succeed?


will continue to stay on the sidelinese (using pixen in the meantime) until the issue is resolved...

Hello, I've been trying to flash the latest build quite a lot of times but after flashing the rom when rebooting to twrp again, my data gets screwed up as in random folders with random names. It goes into bootloop.
I then have to format my data via twrp and then flash OOS latest OTA to fix it, but I am not able to boot up to the ROM.
I follow to procedure to Flash OOS, flash twrp, reboot recovery, then flash OOS again and twrp and reboot recovery, however when I flash the latest rom the phone goes into bootloop.
Please help

I used NikGapps Basic for Android 11. For dirty flash Flashed only Rom. Did All the way.

Me too tried many ways. No use. It's going Bootloader
