@blade_ Had a similar issue, when doing a clean flash. Turned out for me it was the "latest firmware" which caused the issue. It should state for now, use the latest available Android version 10 firmware (aka a Version previous to MIUI 12.5).

In order to fix it, I did install the latest MIUI version BEFORE 12.5 and after that a clean flash brought me a booting and working ROM.

(used latest OrangeFox Recovery, did a format data before flashing the rom)

yes, had to use the latest MIUI based on Android version 10 (aka < MIUI 12.5)

After updating from the July 11 build to July 23, the device would boot to a black screen, as if SystemUI or some other process was crashing. Notification and charging sounds were working so it definitely did boot. I couldn't do a logcat because it was not possible to authorize USB debugging. Reverting to July 11 build resolved the issue. I am on encrypted ext4, magisk was not installed.

So fdr didn't solve the issue. I then flashed the latest firmware, and the issues appears to be fixed

I think I figured it out. I was setting up Android Auto and enabled "Hey Google" Google Assistant detection, then the issue started happening. As soon as I disabled it, the issue went away. Still on the 5.9 build btw.

Edit: I still had the Hey Google detection enabled for "while driving", and as soon as I opened the Android Auto for Phones app, the issue started happening again, as soon as I disabled that toggle as well, it immediately stopped the problem while Android Auto was open, meaning this is 100% the issue.

Is the latest update safe? Cause I just dirty flashed it and it booted up. But then all the apps disappeared from home screen. I could enter setting from quick pulldown but whenever i tried to go to home screen it would act buggy and if i forced it then the home screen would be empty and i couldn't access the app drawer. Thankfully i had a backup and i flashed it. So is there a problem with the update or i did something wrong?

Hello. At first, I want to thank the developers for this amazing ROM. It's my absolute favorite ROM. But I've got one little issue.
Everytime, when I try to enter OrangeFox Recovery, my Mi9T Pro immediately gets into Fastboot and stucks in there. There is absolutely no way out of Fastboot. The only solution is to unbrick the device via MIUI 12.5 Global Fastboot ROM.

What am I doing wrong?

When I perform a clean install, I'll do it that way:

At first I flash latest Global MIUI ROM via fasboot and let it boot one time completely.

Second: reboot in Fastboot and flash latest OrangeFox Recovery via Fastboot.

Third: format data , reboot to recovery .

Fourth: copy latest Evolution X ROM to internal memory.

Fifth: wipe Dalvik/Cache , System, Data.

Sixth: Flash Evolution X ROM , then reboot .

But here comes the problem. After flashing the ROM, I can't enter the recovery anymore.
I'm forced to unbrick the device to exit the Fastboot mode .

I ran into this too. you need to flash miui 12.0.x.x based on android 10.

I reverted back to EXT4 filesystem on DATA and CACHE partitions. I was experiencing data loss with F2FS.

Again, great rom !

Hey guys I have experience a very annoying bug. Everytime I want to watch a video or listen music on Spotify I have stuttering. It doesn't matter if the video is on the YouTube app or in Chrome it stutters. Do you know if there is any solution to this ?

I have 2 questions please:
- someone know how to select pictures on "screen saver" (for me it's call "économiseur d'écran"), that the menu when you chose whats appears when you phone is in charge ?

or

- who know why i can't have the "Ambient mode" in google assistant, (it's appears with my old stock MIUI rom )?
I think because google see my phone like a pixel, but it's just that ?

do several factory restores update the firmware even install a MIUI 12.5 rom by fastboot and then went back to it and the problem of stuttering in the audio persists every 5 seconds

I was also experiencing data loss with F2FS on data and cache (EvoX 5.8 20210629). So far, everything seems to be running smoothly again after going back to EXT4 and installing the current version of EvoX 5.9. So beware, there does seem to be an issue with F2FS!
