OrangeFox 11.6 does not support Android 11...it can be used to flash custom Android 11 ROMs (as any other custom recoveries can, btw), but it cannot decrypting this ROMs....if you check internal storage, you will see a bunch of numbers and signs instead of folders names.

You dont need to flash entire Firmware, just the vendor Image file/Partition from :

https://sourceforge.net/projects/nitrogen-project/files/surya/10.0/firmware+vendor/

In recovery. After that Flash lineage and format data

Thanks for your reply. I did that, but flashing that results in an error: failed to mount /vendor

I reinstalled Lineage anyway, but still no WLAN.

I'm still doing something wrong...

EDIT: Just repeated everything, but also flashed Magisk. While the error remains, I now have WLAN!!!

Thanks for all the help!

OrangeFox Recovery R11.6

@zen9_0 THANK YOU!

Just one question:

I can't seem to find Orangefox for the Poco x3 NFC. The device list here does not feature it. I'm probably bad at searching, tho.

Here is the link to the recovery image.

I also recommend you join the Telegram Group named: Poco X3 | Discussions, it's more convenient for you there than here, that's if you want instant responses.

I updated the firmware and installed LineageOS as suggested, but my phone keeps rebooting back to (mahajant's) twrp.
If I try to factory reset via twrp it says "Unable to decrypt FBE device.. Failed to mount..."

How do I fix this?

Did you use V12.0.3.0.QJGMIXM stock? If you did, most probable you didn't format data (typing "yes" one) after you flashed LineageOS. To be sure, do it again this way: flash V12.0.3.0.QJGMIXM stock - format data (yes) -reboot recovery - flash LineageOS - format data - reboot recovery (optional, but I always do it) - reboot system. It have to work!
PS You have to use SD card to keep LineageOS ROM and flash it from there, because TWRP not support Android 11 (can't decrypt it).

Thanks very much, I had forgotten to Format Data!

I have a few more Qs:
1. How would I go back to the factory recovery and ROM?
2. Why is the Google News feed missing? (Swipe left from Home Screen)
3. Is it possible to use the MIUI icon pack for the Status Bar?

1. Use MiFlash tool and the fastboot stock ROM you wanna flash.
2. I don't know :)
3. Most probable, not. Every custom ROM (based on AOSP) I tried keeps the original Android status bar icons.

First, thank you for the ROM. Very pleased to see lineageOS on our devices.

There is something that is not clear to me though. I'm under MIUI Global V12.0.4.0 (QJGEUXM). Can I flash the ROM directly (after wipe what is needed) over it or do I downgrade to V12.0.3 as written in the first post ?

you must downgrade to 12.0.3.0 to prevent Errors.

then all works fine.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

for me, it makes sense. for now, no official opengapps 11 available and my experience with nitrogenos and nikgapps offers problems for daily usage.

Depends on why you want to get rid of MIUI, personally it's to avoid Google's bloat and run ( mostly ) free and open source software, if tommorow a linux distro shipped with Microsoft Edge or whatever I would make sure to not touch it, I guess that's why people are into LOS, but hey I'm sure many people don't care tho, if it wasn't a thing nobody would put instructions to install gapps after all

From what I have seen until now, the XDA threads are here because its a requirement to create one. However, the real support is done in the telegram channels (like https://t.me/pocox3globalofficial).
I use this LineageOS rom as a daily driver. I have only minor complaints. The APN needs to be set on each reboot, but I do not reboot often. And (for me) its cumbersome to switch between different bluetooth speakers. But its running stable and I am happy with the battery life. I am using the gcam but have not played with the stock camera before, so I can not compare. See this thread for a comparison: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gcam-for-poco-x3.4164397
You can also install gcam on MIUI and directly compare if you like before switching to a custom rom.

Edit: Got best results with recent version from Nikita. But that might change quickly, just follow the thread or Telegram channel. Currently I have:
