I think it's no problem but I never flashed fw separately. So make sure to have a backup ready in case it went wrong.

Official instructions:

Be sure flash latest recommended regional firmware/vendor before flashing ArrowOS builds.

CLEAN FLASH:
0. (As our dynamic partitions, You don't need to clean wipe anything)
1. Flash Rom.
2. Flash Gapps or MicroG (OPTIONAL: If you flash vanilla build).
3. Format Data.
4. Reboot.

DIRTY FLASH
1. Flash Rom.
2. Reboot.

NOTE: If you are using DFE module etc, you will need to reflash it.

Yeah, TWRP 3.5.0.2 here, Sorry I don't remember which one, exactly, but it does flash ota flawlessly

I'm fine with them being able to clean flash a new rom and me not being able to locate my phone or get it back, so long as none of my personal data is compromised

That's what data encryption is for. They may crack TWRP security, but if your data partition is encrypted with a strong password, only a very determined/competent attacker (like the FBI or the Russian Mafia) would be able to break that.

So the lockscreen password file resides within the encrypted part, and so it wouldn't be possible to know which files are the lockscreen password files and thus noone would be able to just remove my screen lock? Just confirming if that's how it works

To put it simply, your password generates a key, and this process (theoretically/ mathematically) cannot be reversed. When you log in, the hash of the password you enter is compared with that key. There's more to it, but that's the general idea. So, if you throw away the "key" file, you cannot decrypt - your data is garbage.

Hey, I'm clean flashing the 15th June build from the last ArrowOS 11 build using twrp-3.6.1_11-2-surya-22.05-fix, and the 12.5.8.0 fw. It's my daily driver phone, so I wanted to know if everything's good or if i should hold back?

And is the fw v12.5.8.0 good or should i rather stick with 12.5.5.0?

I can also share files using File Manager +, so I guess it's the file manager you are using

Yes it allows root. You only need to activate on settings and enter in System with root permissions (it has an icon for that so you can enter with or without root)!
