I know it might be a silly question but this is my first time installing custom ROM and I was wondering can I just install this update without doing a factory reset? What do I do? Thanks

Maybe I didn't express myself in the best way. I have this rom, AEX AOSP Extended, I just wish to install the recent update and wanna know a proper way to do it. I installed this rom with Lineage Recovery
Ahh ok. I guess when you want to do a dirty flashing of this ROM over the previous Version it should be like this:
-reboot to recovery
-adb sideload ROM.zip
-reboot to System
I installed the update and I like the changes like fingerprint and icon customization.. I like the idea of built in Lawnchair because I was using it already, but I can't change the system colors anymore, not even by changing to custom color in Extensions
Does OOS cam work properly now? Before you couldn't use wide angle with correction and sometimes there would be a weird tint in photos.
Hey guys, just downloaded the latest build for the 9R and have some troubles with AOD.
If it's enabled at the Device Extras and the option "wake device on pick-up" is setted the AOD isn't showing on pick-up, but the normal lock screen is showing if I pick-up the phone twice (the screen is black on first attempt). Btw the AOD isn't appearing if I tap the screen once.
Does anyone else have such problems?

What version of GCam and what config are you all using with this ROM? Are all sensors (ultrawide, regular, 2x, macro) working?
And to answer the last question on the thread, with ultra wide lens correction turned on, ultrawide does not work (stays at regular 1x).

In the previous version I had no issues with system colors matching wallpaper, but now it's an issue and I don't know how to fix it.
Turn off ultra wide lens correction from settings to fix

Yes, dirty flash is fine. But, make a backup if things go bad as I always backup, just in case! Use Swift Backup and back it up to your PC. Also, you can setup Google to backup the apps/sms/call logs/settings, etc.
Btw, the ROM is super smooth with tons of customization and absolutely love it.

Hi!Heya. Got an official 12 update to my 8T couple of days ago, and kind of hate the overly rounded corner style for widgets. Also it doesn't have an option to customize Monet colors so right now that's a bit of a mess too.
And it feels laggy. So all in all great update from Oneplus.
So I'm looking at custom roms again and got a few questions AospExtended.
Firstly, I have no interest in rooting the device. So should I relock the bootloader after clean flash? I'm not sure what leaving it unlocked actually means. Do banking apps generally work with here?
How about the widget corners, same rounded as official? Customizable?
Additionally last time I used custom roms I had to occasionally update the kernel stuff separately, is that how it works here as well?

No you can not relock the Bootloader, that will not work, so you need to have the Bootloader unlocked.
I think you will need to install Magisk, in order to hide apps, like Banking apps etc.
I guess if you just try to use Banking apps with unlocked Bootloader it will not work.
I am using Nova Launcher as launcher as there are a lot of things which can be customized.
I have never used OOS12 so I dont know how these rounded corners looks like.
Also, the dev of this ROM had just mentioned some days ago that he does not have time anymore to Maintain this AEX ROM, so I guess you should better try some of the other great custom ROMs.
I just switched yesterday from this ROM to Project Zephyrus ROM.1
No not for the 9r.
I build it for the 8t and it is not unified for the 9r so would not work on the 9r now.1

A clean flash is always recommended. Bug reports are not appreciated if not clean flashed. Remove any kind of security PINs/Password and Fingerprints before flashing this build.
