Updating over previous build
- All users can dirty flash (make sure to wipe cache & dalvik cache)
- Recommended to flash V12.5.4.0 or newer firmware from here
- Follow update instructions mentioned in main post.

Notes
- Device randomly not waking up after sleep (aka SOD) should be fixed. It was diagnosed as UFS not waking from suspend and has been adequately patched in kernel drivers.
- BT and wifi MAC address now shows correctly instead of random one. You may need to clean flash to refresh it, as wifi mac address is stored in first boot.
- Selinux is enforcing, safetynet passes out of the box. User builds mean that most/all banking apps should work fine.
- Google Photos should have unlimited photos backup now, thanks to nexus sysconfig.

Wanted to do a clean flash. Process updater ended with error 1. There is a newer build from 6.12 on the device. Wipe Data, Cache and Dalvik + Format Data made. What am I doing wrong?

Can't install the aosp from 29.11 because I updated the xiaomi full package as well, waiting for an update of this rom now ><

The error message if anyone encounter it:

E3003: Can't install this package (Mon Nov 29 16:59:55 CET 2021) over newer build (Mon Dev 6 20:59:08+10 2021). Updater process ended with ERROR: 1

Edit: If you can downgrade to a previous xiaomi official rom, mine is currently 12.5.4.0.RJGMIXM, maybe the previous one will do the trick

Edit-2: I actually repacked the rom without the line in the install script checking for the build time etc, but the problem was twrp, I used twrp 3.6.0_11-0-surya from brigudav but it seems broken, used the twrp-3.5.2_10-12-surya-A12fix which I had in the first place to test some A12 roms and it worked with the unmodified aosp rom zip...

i use brigudav's twrp 3.6.0_10-0 and it works. at least we know that the recovery is the problem

What TWRP do you recommend and why?
I'm still using 3.5.2_10-5 and everything still fine so far (except encryption but i don't know if there's a fix yet)

if anyone can comment my Twrp is encrypted as i forgot to flash DFE zip file after flashing rom, already completed first boot and phone is set up in the OS, can i go back into twrp and flash the DFE zip to decrpyt or do i have to go thru the install all over again? thanks.

I think the DFE doesn't work even if installed right.

I wanted to access a bank app but did ask for setting up a password for the device. I had to fresh reinstall (because TWRP showed encrypted data on internal memory; SD was good). I used Migrate app and my SD card... No problems so far but setting up the configs takes some time
