I used alpha version before (when it appears on jjpprrrr.com site). And today, as usual, first of all, I installed pe recovery, after that, I installed Beta version. It was without any issues.
Just format /cache alone in the new PE recovery. It's caused by a mismatch in cache partition filesystems. It won't affect your data. When I installed the latest recovery, recovery had problems mounting /cache, which were fixed after installing the previous PE12 recovery (downloaded a month ago), so I could only install PE12 BETA with the previous recovery. Not sure if it's only me?
But with the old recovery, PE12 BETA beautifully installed on top of PE12 ALPHA.

The telephoto lens works fine on BSG's gcam port.
Just to clarify, you are using PE 11 right? So I thought my device battery was going bust since the last few versions of this rom but turns out there's actually a bug that kills battery life (and data usage) because the device is continually trying to download the OTA updates from google servers, I'm sure the dev is aware of this and it will be fixed by the new versions but I just wanted to know if anyone else noticed it, here's the bug report from another device but I assume it is actually widespread to all Pixel Experience builds
It will be in future versions. It's not possible from PE 12 BETA to PE 12 because PE 12 BETA didn't include a system updater. In the future, you should be able to just click install in the system updater.
