yes OTA not recommended ADB sideload update takes 1/10 of the time
download update pc then put phone fastboot mode
cmd
fastboot reboot recovery
select apply update adb sideload
cmd
adb sideload name.zip

Thanks to the dev for the fantastic ROM and frequent updates. What's the most straightforward way for me to update given that I have rooted my device and installed a custom recovery (Nebrassy TWRP)? Can I simply follow jeffrom's steps a couple of posts above or is this going to cause issues given I have installed a different recovery?

My last attempt to install an update didn't go well and I ended up needing to wipe the data partition. I'd be keen to avoid this if possible this time so any advice would be much appreciated.

Finalizing package installation stuck at 50%.. Will keep waiting..

EDIT :: The update took some time but finished itself. The issue is that the progress bar doesn't update after 50% but it's actually working...

One side effect of the January security patch: Fabricated Overlays app crashes when trying to create a new overlay. I used it to remove the navigation bar.

Can you side load it using a custom recovery (e.g. TWRP) using the ADB side load function, or is it necessary to re-flash the Arrow OS 12 recovery before updating?

Yesterday I did a dirty upgrade from Arrow OS11 but experienced some issues with media playbay in audible and youtube. Playback was stopping every few seconds. Just did a factory reset in recovery, but the same issue still appears.
Any ideas?

It does work.
Around 10 seconds it starts to dim and turns off at 15.

Ok, was not aware that this is also necessary when i´m already on a custom rom.
I have to flash the recommenced MIUI FW via TWRP and after this flash ArrowOS again?

Edit: Found the steps needed. Thanks for pointing me to the root cause

Possible but not recommended if on vanilla...

You gotta move magisk to other slot before ota , there's a module that does that called keep magisk or something like that...

You can be my guest to try and see if it works xd

Easiest way would be through Magisk. Otherwise I think they have installation instructions on their Github and you can even use flashable ZIPs like Nanodroid.
