Is anyone encountering ''location access is being used by phone system'' notification every couple of minutes after updating to May 8 update?
I upgraded to ArrowOS to the latest version on May 8th and everything works great. I wanted to ask a question. I came from the miui global stable rom version 13.0.2.0 (I think) but when xiaomi releases a new firmware version will I be forced to fashare over ArrowOS? Or is it not necessary?
Is it also possible through some app to know which firmware version I have installed on the device?

This option is switched on by default.
You can switch it off in Developer Options, last option. But it is switched on again when you reboot your phone.

However, is the ''location access is being used by phone system'' specific only for arrow os 12.1? Because I just checked with my girlfriend's Arrow OS 12 Poco F3, and the usage log does not have phone system every two to three minutes
I'm very new to the cust ROMs. Can anyone please tell me is there any harm/repercussion if I delete this (attached screenshot).

Correct with this latest build and I think it's putting a battery drain on the phone
Can we identify where the location request came from? No app had recent requests and only Google has all time location access on my device. I am on build 0508 and 13.0.4 eu fw.

I am now using Arrow OS 12.1, my first custom rom on the Poco F3, I miss some features... Like, smartcharging or other options to preserve battery health, is this going to be added later?
Always on screen also seems to be missing
When charging, it says that it's charging slowly (it actually isn't... It charges pretty fast) Is this going to be fixed on later updates?
One other thing... I can't root my phone! I tried patching the boot.img from the first post with magisk and adb sideload the file, it fails... I tried with TWRP and ArrowRecovery...
Can I find a nice toutorial somewere with all the steps?

actually, around that menu there is an option to automatically delete after every install

The battery life is pretty meh. But flashing baalam kernel fixes it. I am now on latest build, newest baalam, and have 23% battery left, 8 hours sot and charged over 2 days ago without turning off WiFi or anything. -

First installation (Clean flash):
You need PC with adb/fastboot tools.
Download boot, vendor_boot and rom zip:

Reboot in fastboot. Flash arrowos recovery (boot.img and vendor_boot.img):
fastboot flash boot_ab boot_alioth.img fastboot flash vendor_boot_ab vendor_boot_alioth.img
Reboot in ArrowOS Recovery:
fastboot reboot recovery
Make format data (Factory reset -> Format data).
Flash ROM (Apply update -> Apply from ADB):
adb sideload name.zip
Follow what show on device, should be ... Step 1/2 -> 2/2, then flashing ended, can reboot device in system. (In cmdline: If the process succeeds the output will stop at 47% and report `adb: failed to read command: Success`. In some cases it will report `adb: failed to read command: No error` which is also fine!")
If you want install separate gapps on vanilla buildtype, after flash ROM:
Advanced -> Reboot to recovery
Flash gapps (Apply update -> Apply from ADB):
adb sideload name.zip

Install Update (dirty flash):
Go in Settings -> System -> Updater
Downlad new build -> Install
Device will automatically download, install a new build and reboot.

Update arrow-12.0 -> arrow-12.1 (dirty flash):
You need PC with adb/fastboot tools.
1) Download new build and reboot into Recovery
2) Flash ROM (Apply update -> Apply from ADB):
adb sideload name.zip
3) Reboot into System
