This phone has a crappy proximity sensor. You cannot fix this hardware problem.
nonsense. many phones have this type of proximity sensor and the problem is with the user. there are two reasons: a bad case that covers the sensor (then you have to manually enlarge the holes) or simply badly holding the phone during the conversation - it is recommended to keep the phone as far away from your head as possible during the conversation and not stick it to your face.

Hi, I am on the latest 12.1 build and trying to charge another phone using a type-c to type-c cable. The other phone charges my Poco f3 while I need the opposite. I attach photo of the problem. Has anyone tried this; the other phone is a Samsung.

This is the first time I have heard that I'm the issue, everything I have read before has stated that the POCO F3 has a cheap / ineffective proximity sensor that forces me to hold it in a way that I haven't had to ever hold a phone before.

I hold it that way in your picture because I have to for this phone, not because that is how most people hold a phone.

This problem has ceased to exist for me and many reddit users after going back to the factory case or making holes in a third-party case. Many Xiaomi and Samsung phones have a virtual proximity sensor - this is slowly becoming the norm if we want screens without notch in cheap phones. Try my tips or continue to get frustrated by the trivial problem in phone for 300$

I don't use a case.

I just hold the phone in an odd way, different from every other phone I've ever owned.

Download Sensor Test from Play Store (developer Efremov) and test your sensor - maybe it's time to send it for a repair. Mine is working very good on Arrow OS, Miui Global, Xiaomi.eu.

On Miui rom there is a trick for faulty proximity sensors. Add compass app to autostart and calibrate it in the app and proximity sensor will work like a charm.

Xiaomi Poco F3
Just updated to the recommended firmware and the new OTA update, and I've got a weird problem - all of my bluetooth pairings are still there, but none of them pair automatically any more. I need to go in manually and select the bluetooth device from the settings before it will connect. Anyone come across this before and know of a solution?

But this is not about whether I hold the phone to my head. Let me give you an example. I am in a meeting, the phone is on the table, someone calls, the name is displayed on the screen, I press power and I want the screen off. However, it is impossible to do this, the phone wakes up in half a second and continues to display that someone is calling. It is also important that the phone is still lying on the table at this moment. Something is wrong with the software.
To be sure, I also took off the case off and it is the same

Maybe if I set up a task on GitLab it will be fixed. We'll see.

I had previously installed LineageOS with android 11 and didn't have this problem. I installed everything clean with the latest firmwares

Edit:
I solved the problem. I downloaded calling app from
Simple Mobile Tools.

Thank you, my proximity sensor works 'fine', so it is a design 'feature' of the phone.

Thanks arrowos dev for the rom!.. a quick question, just update from 11 to 12, I could not find "hidden apps" from home setting. Does anyone find it somewhere?

Figured it out! The other device has to assume the control of the usb. And then be the charge the other device.

Does anyone knows why I always got the old Google Assistant UI? When first clean install, I can "Ok google" and the New Design appears, but some time later, it's back to old UI.

BTW, feels like stills the best rom for Poco F3

How can I check this and if I'm not do I have to flash latest miui first?
You can check the Firmware version as mentioned in this thread a few posts ago.

You shouldn't have to update MIUI first, but it wouldn't hurt.

How did you dirty flash using twrp?
    What steps did you follow?
First I moved the arrowOS img file to my phone storage, turned off my find device, and removed my screen lock completely.

Then download twrp skkk for alioth from here: https://dl.akr-developers.com/?dir=skkk/TWRP/A12
So you go to the 5.1 folder and find the Alioth img file, as of right now it looks like this: [BOOT]3.6.2_12-RedmiK40-RedmiPOCOF3_v5.1_A12-alioth-skkk_b8cf297a.img - 192.00MB
Put it where the adb and fastboot files are in your computer. I also renamed it to twrp362.img
Then you reboot your phone to fastboot mode. When it's off press and hold power and vol down.
Then on your computer open cmd as administrator to where you have the adb and fastboot files.
    Type: fastboot boot twrp362.img
Wait for it to push twrp in your phone and your phone will reboot to twrp.
You can now use the install option;TWRP will see your storage, so you can install from your storage device now. After installation just reboot
No need to wipe cache or anything else.

Alternative method, This is how i do it personally:
After twrp is booted and running on my phone, I type on my computer:
    adb shell
    cd sdcard
    twrp install ArrrowOS.img
(Then i'll wait until cd prompt comes back on)
    exit
    adb reboot

I have not permanently installed twrp on my phone. Whenever i want to update, I fastboot boot twrp.img to my phone and update and install magisk that way, but you can install twrp to your phone within twrp itself. Do not flash twrp to your phone with the fastboot command! As in, just use the command: fastboot boot twrp362.img and don't use other fastboot commands.

@palaych May I ask what is meant with the 6ghz wifi support?
As far as I know alioth does not support 6ghz wifi ... SD
SDM870 (SM8250-AC) don't support, just checkout with kona, we won't have any effect.

hello i can't find the face unlock !?
Because AOSP removed it some year's ago yet....

is Google pay working for anyoine on latest version?i have tried all the latest methods and cannot add my card to Google wallet
Should work, maybe try clean gms app data/cache. If you use Magisk, follow instructions for hide root.
