i tested this rom 8.10 on my redmi note 10 pro , and i like it a lot , except for one thing, i cannot install microG on it and get it to work , i tried every poosible method , i spent days trying , it never works , it gets stuck on the crdroid logo , i tried 8.9 too and the same problem , microG seems to never work , i dont understand why , i would appretiate any help ,
i dont want to use the nikGapps bundled with crdroid , i want a full microG ,

I use it with working MicroG.
Installation Steps:
Install Rom
Install MinMicroG NoGoolag Edition
Install latest Magisk
Install DFE
Reboot

ROM works perfectly but i have few questions, latest magisk installed+microg+magiskhide props config module:
1- i cant pass safetynet test, i get this "Failed: integrity check failed ROM is not clean"
2- i disconnected the phone from charging at 100% and went to sleep, after 6 hours battery is drained by 6% without doing nothing. is this normal ??? screenshot
3- i have this weird UI bug here's a screen record notice upper UI near the hands, happens when i unlock the phone, to restore it back to normal i must select recent apps.
4-is there a way to program battery saver depending on the time ? i want to save battery during my sleep (only calls and alarm are what i need)

Fyi. Well i have tried vantom and sleepy kernel. Vantom kernel has screen problem with zoom in and out some applications .So far sleepy kernel is good working properly.My touch screen problem is gone..i am happy with sleepy kernel..

Does this crDroid v8.x support Ethernet tethering ?
ie. I need to plug a USB-C Ethernet cable into the phone,
and then manually configure an IP address for that Ethernet connection.

Is this possible ?

( I could do this, on a different Asus phone )

Just flashed crDroid 8.10 on my sweet and can confirm that the ANX/MIUI camera still immediately crashes when you got to SlowMo. Video/Pro/Photo/Portrait works.

What is up with that? Same happened on PixelOS 12.1 - is this a general Android 12 problem with the camera?

so after trying all popular ROMs for sweet I settled with this ROM , so far the performance is good however the battery I feel still drain quickly compared to miui. Also in miui I had no issue using swipe from left or right to go back when I am using the keyboard , in this ROM I have to go above the keyboard to be able to swipe back it doesn't detect it on the lower part of the screen. anybody is annoyed by this problem ?

Also, there is always an alarm showing on the lock screen although I have all alarms off

Love the rom but I seem to be having a or some weird behavior when it comes go deep sleep. Even my alarm doesnt ring in the morning. The apps just die out after an hour or two and i dont get notifications. I turned off optimizations for apps and checked through settings but couldnt find anything. Anyone else experienced this?

Also watching the battery drainage, using betterbatterystats, seeing that the device won't get enough deep sleep just like me.
Jokes aside, haven't had the time to read through and try stuff, it may be some Google play services, I guess.

Hi, were you able to solve this? got the same issue using latest version, clean flash, etc and get the exact same symptoms.

Edit: symptoms go a bit further from the above in fact. I was able to install magisk, rebooted, flashed the boot image, rebooted, everything went fine... I flashed another module, rebooted, went well... Turned off the phone and only then it got stuck into a loop (the crdroid eye).

Flashed the original boot.img and no more bootloop, but no more root either! In my case it all hinges on the module I installed. cdDroid works normally.

Hi, I'm on a different device but had the same problem. Rename magisk.apk to uninstaller.zip. Flash it, reboot, then you can renam uninstaller.zip to magisk.apk, patch boot img and it will work. uninstaller will wipe your modules too.

And when i try to backup in twrp it warns me, that it can not decrypt all users. This may be because i have a workprofile installed with the app island. The thing is, that i did not set any key to decrypt the workprofile, so no idea which key i should enter here...

Hi I installed this rom today, build 2022-12-24. Seems very good and smooth so far. Only problem is the camera crashes in photo mode. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a fix maybe? Thanks.

I did not install any gapps. I just used the F-Droid app Island to create the work-profile.
