Yes it was rooted. Thats why I installed Island. In my workprofile the banking apps i used worked without problems.

I had the same issue booting into recovery. Format data and reinstall previous version.

Yes. Clean start. This was not a very nice Christmas present. Dev took us back to beta in this release.

i flashed 8.10 manually over the the older install without formatting my whole phone , or reset factory , i cleared dalvik cache , and rebooted , all went well and i boot normally , and my data and saves are still there , nothing lost ,

I get the following error:

'--reason=init_user0_failed'

And when i try to backup in twrp it warns me, that it can not decrypt all users. This may be because i have a workprofile installed with the app island. The thing is, that i did not set any key to decrypt the workprofile, so no idea which key i should enter here...

Same issue here, sucks because previous version of this ROM was pretty stable for me for a while.

Unable to boot post install as well. Rolling back to 8.10 solved the issue (and thank god avoided the need to factory reset)

i liked the last release , it was stable enough , but the battery was drianing too fast , that was my only regret , i wanted to test the update just to know if it would do better for the battery

after testing the rom properly , i prefer thee 8.10 ,its much more stable , 8.12 have many problems ,
1 -miui camera keeps crashing , which is a deal breaker
2- updating on top of older rom will cause boot loop , an need to factory reset and flash the rom manually
3- clock app keeps crashing , cannot open it
4- calc app is bad , there is many other calc apps that is much better and more simple

may be i will find more bugs after using it for longer time ,
but there is also many things that i like in this update , like battery is not drained fast , and the crdroid options are massive and so amazing

i think i will wait for the next release , when the bugs are fixed

• Flashed CRdroid recovery from fastboot
• fastboot reboot recovery
• apply update
• load 8.10 via adb sideload
• reboot

As for me. After dirty flash of 8.12 over 8.10, stuck in bootloop in recovery (TWRP says --reason=init_user0_failed). Tryed with Magisk 14, 25.2, canary, wiping dalvik and cache, but unfortunately nothing helped in my case.

Dirty flash of 8.10 again makes the phone starts normally

Hello. In the last update the MIUI camera stopped working.

OK. Installed Google Camera from Google Play and uninstalled MIUI Cam using pm uninstall --user 0 com.android.camera and now this camera is working fine.

Another issue. Root was not working fine with Intune Company Portal APK so have to uninstall Magisk. Missing it but that's life.

Battery stats are good compared to CrDroid9 24-12-2022 built.

I did the mistake to update to 8.12 and when failed cleared the data
Anyway, now I am trying to re-install 8.10, everything goes ok, but when I boot to system, it hangs at the crDroid logo.
Any ideas?

Update: 8.8 worked, so I will try to update all the way to 8.10 (until 8.12 is fixed)

Update2: updating using adb sideload from 8.8 --> 8.10 left my phone hung at the crDroid logo
