I´m stuck in 8.10. OTA stoped working since december build (error message when installing). If dirty flashed, updates (including todays january build) break the OS and can´t boot. Can´t go back to 8.9 or 8.8... Problem is that 8.10 is draining battery massively. Real

Dirty flashing v8.10 works just fine with OrangeFox. So I think it is safe to assume that TWRP 3.6.2+ will work as well. If not you could (temporarily) flash and use OrangeFox instead. Beware that the current v8.12 versions will not work with dirty flash but will boot into recovery instead! Hopefully this will get fixed soon by developers in an upcoming v8.13 build

Dirty flashing of 6Jan built over past is death trap. I did and suffered a lot. /Odm partition lost and boot ended in recovery. Tried to flash older built but same result. Then tried with twrp, orangefox and with crdroid but all in dust.

Finally reboot to fastboot. Flashed stock rom. Logged in and configured the miui and google. Flashed recovery using fastboot. Boot into recovery and format, data, wiped everything and flashed current version.

Working fine now. Although camera issue still there but that can be resolved using google cam. Although issue is with camera app. Camera is working fine. I can use this cam in qr scanner.

But no big difference in performance.

Well, I got stuck in the boot loop trying to dirty flash 8.12 and ended up wiping data.
Should I just clean install 8.12? Or should I stick with 8.10?

If you have installed 8.12, I dont see a reason to go bck to 8.10.

Performance and issues are almost same in 8.10 and 8.12

Then why format again.

I managed to dirty-flash from 8.8 --> 8.9 --> 8.10 using Orangefox recovery. Thanks for the tip

Dirty flashing till 8.10 is possible but not to 8.12.

Twrp or orangefox, both can do this. But once you are planning for 8.12, make sure to take a backup and do a clean flash of 8.12.

I have also made the mistake of updating to 8.12 before checking the forums, and ended up in a bootloop.
Thankfully, I managed to fix it by dirty flashing 8.10 using orangefox.

my personal opinion is that Android 12 version is much better than the latest Android 13 ...
I have tested them both, for Android 13 I recommend Lineage OS 20

I am using CrDroid 9.2 Android 13 (Dated 23-02-2023) with Firmware version 17 of EU and Sleep Kernel MIUI version. 92% battery worked for 1 day and 23 hrs. My usages are mainly Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS and Mobile Data. I dont use any game, any social media or anything else. Religiously disable Wifi, Bluetooth and GPS whenever not in use. Screen Brightness is 55 to 60%. Deep sleep is 64% in 51hrs.

to be very clear, Battery depends upon your usages. Mine is strictly official. Only office app and Calls.

1) nfc is not working
2) stock camera keeps stopping after 3 seconds (then can't connect to the camera error)
am i the only one with these problems?
it's a pity to have the "last android 12 build" with a bugged camera....in changelog of rom it's also written * sweet: Fixed camera issues from last build but this seems not really fixed
