Same problem. Not only appearing in this Elixir ROM, but also in Evo_X.
Seemed like this is a bug only on CN devices.

Hi I've got two bugs to report
- unable to update system, although when I check for system updates it says I'm up to date
- the ram management is a little extreme,when I load up a game even if I switch to a simple app like messages it restarts the app. The original rom used to run 2-3 games in ram at a time.
Otherwise great rom.

A great ROM. So far everything had worked fine. However, for the last two days it keeps popping up every now and then that there is an update to the rom but it doesn't install, checking the "pling.." page where the files to download are hosted, they haven't come out until today, but from recovery it's impossible update, and adb sideload always gives me an error, I don't know if it's a problem with xiaomi or with this device, but I've never been able to get this command to work with this specific device.
Another problem that I have found with the rom is when I try to put the cover of the song that is playing as the lock screen background, the phone gets completely stuck, and it is impossible to use it, you have to restart several times until it let you disable the function. In my case using Tidal (I don't know if it has something to do with it).
Would it be possible to change the recovery to twrp (I have tried to flash it without success, probably because it is based on pixel experience).
Besides from those 3 things the rom is great and the mobile works much better.

Comparing to stock miui this room is much slower - about 200k points in antutu. Also it doest have a lot of options miui does. Few aps that worked on miui doesn't work now, or not working how they should. That's sad coz i really wanted to stay with this rom
Rom is great, I just found 2 issue:
first: i cant change system color, they are stuck in the default ones;
second: after scrolling a bit on xda app, the refresh rate lowers down to smth like 30hz.

Ok, finally I was able to boot the recovery vía fastboot and install the rom from there.
The cover song on the lock screen is fixed!

I installed 2.0 with factory reset(again), and still only have the system camera, not mi cam.
I've bought a Global Xiaomi Mi11i to replace my Poco F3. This was my rom of choice, it has exactly everything the way I want, except for one thing. The kernel is somehow capped. The GPU max frequency is 100 MHz slower than the stock rom. The max frequency of the X1 core is capped at 2150 MHz. In benchmarks the performance is just horrible. Both AnTuTu and 3D mark were lower than my Poco F3 with the snapdragon 870. I have no choice but to sell the Mi11i and keep my F3, I can't stand Miui and their bs, and I can't find a working decent AOSP rom without compromise performance.
I'm using Pixel Experience now, but it isn't under maintenance, so I consider switch to Project Elixir. Is dirty flash available?

Does this ROM have camera support the chinese K40 pro? I wanted to use the ricedroid rom but that one doesn't see the camera for chinese k40 pro. Thanks for your work on this device.
Successfully flash the PE 3.5. It works fine, but the home gesture is ineffective in landscape orientation. It's okay after reboot.
