Google pay contactless payments stopped working suddenly. At 4pm yesterday I boarded a train and tapped on successfully as I usually do. Then at 4:45pm I tried to tap out and that's when it broke on me!

I'm not rooted. CrDroid 8.9 clean flash plus the latest InfiniR 2.31 kernel

I've seen that same message. Yesterday I've tested it and contactless payments still worked from my phone despite the message... I hope it stays that way.. Today I'll try again.

OK, I've rebooted my phone just in case, went to the shop and contactless payments don't work anymore :-(

Same for me, Gpay stopped working suddenly, no cache clearing or rebooting works so far. Will have a look at the thread above, maybe I'll get it to work again...

Seems to be a common problem atm, I tried all fixed I found and none work. Don't think it's a rom problem though, seems more like a Google safety net or wallet update, as it occurred out of nowhere without any rom update.

Tried that also, but sadly Wallet doesn't want to add my card back in, same "device cannot be used" message. I'm running out of idea, so I'm back to paying with the card again. :-(

So everyone has this issue using @Displax USNF-mod module on Poco f3 w/ Crdroid 8.9?... Interesting...

Did issue occur with an update, or just started occuring?

If no update its likely Google has strengthened prerequisites for deviceIntegrity on server end... Could be something peculiar to Crdriod Rom too... Eg. is selinux enforcing?... Some strange prop settings/manipulations?...

Could ask Poco f3 Crdroid maintainer about possible incompatibility... An integrated mod may be causing issues when running Magisk USNF mod, eg:

Today Google Pay displayed notification on my phone, that contactless payments will no longer work on this phone, because this device is not certified bla bla (they have the info here) Did anyone else have this? I have not yet tried to pay anywhere to see if it actually blocks payments, but this is an important feature for me to have Google Pay working... should I be worried? It worked flawlessly so far... anyone experiencing issues with contactless payments on an unlocked phone with custom rom? I checked in Google Play settings and under Play Protect it says that my device is certified... so... strange.

I didn't use any mod and the same problem appeared for me. I just had root (and removing root didn't work). I will test without root to see if there is any problem.
Edit: I answered wrong, it was an answer for the user who raised the hypothesis that everyone who suffers the same problem uses the same mod.

I just tested it and even on a clean install, without rooting, it still doesn't work (and it worked on arrowOS). Some apps also don't appear in the Play Store (like netflix)

same for me with Netflix on last update, didn't have the issue on previous one

I think it's fair to say Google have changed something at their end which is causing issues, @raystef66 is on it guys. I'm sure a fix will be along at some point

Are you using the recomended firmware?, i was experiencing same issue and flashing the FW 13.0.3.0 posted here solved all problems.

So I somehow managed to fix this by uninstalling the modded USNF, rebooting, reinstalling the same mod, rebooting and then I was able to pass the meets_device_integrity check. So now I have a working Google Wallet. No idea how this worked or why I didn't think of it before! Just a heads up for those still struggling
