go back to miui and make sure that microphone actually works.

if it works, then make sure you are on the firmware that dev recommended.

I made some tests. Recordings with the Recorder app are loud enough. Perfect! Doing it with apps like Whatsapp or other messengers its very quiet. So i think it is a software problem and can be fixed by an update.
Hopefully the developers find a solution. Thank you for this ROM

//
Another Problem:

Sound for typing at the Keyboard are turned off. But they i have sound while typing anyway. Mute-mode helps.

Maybe for the next update?

Good ROM! It has least bugs among all the roms I have used.

the first thing is the problem in network type choosing,I have chosen LTE as the preferred type, but it often automatically change to 5G,but 5G is not stable and strong in this countryside area in China, that's made me feel not well.

the other thing is about the recorder,as the default microphone is a wrong one,so no sound will be recorded if it doesn't be changed to the right one, that also cause frozen.

Oh yes. I'm not alone. Do you have the same issue "quiet voicemails"? After changing from automatic to system mic in the recorder i have now good voicemails in whatsapp, but not other messengers.

Does this ROM supports shortcut to open clock/alarm settings via tap on the time in the upper left corner? I miss that feature 😀

Now it always displays "fast charging" if you charge even with a regular charger that does not have fast charging.

Same problem. "Try to calibrate the camera. Remove the modules and install them again?
In my case, it's because of the magisk module "moto dolby g pro". Maybe v 5.4 isn't correct for updated ROM from July 14.

Update: deleting and reinstalling this module fixed this bug.

I'm in the latest PE+ (2022/07/14). Bluetooth metadata (like song title, or album name, or artist) are not shown in the car's display when connecting over Bluetooth.

I see that someone else has reported the same in the past. Anyone else?
    go to:
    1) developer options
    2) bluetooth AVRCP version and choose version 1.3

Has anyone tested the ambient screen? Does it move at all to protect the screen?

    Hey guys.

First off, I would like to thank you all for your feedback and kind words. Even though I haven't responded to any, I do read each and every one of your posts. It's cool to see that the March build has been downloaded ~4 thousand times. Your support motivates me to keep this ROM alive.

Now I would like to give an update and clarify a few things. First off, it is important to note that this ROM is intended to be flashed on top of the latest build of MIUI 12.5. While some people have successfully flashed on top of MIUI 13, doing that sometimes causes weird issues, such as music/video not playing properly. The installation instructions and the original post will be updated to mention this soon. Firmware may be included in the ROM at a later date.

Speaking of things that will be happening soon, the April build is almost ready. Or rather, builds, as PE Plus will also be released then. The April builds are focused on improving security and fixing bugs, including the bug that causes the device to not enter deep sleep, resulting in excessive idle drain when Ambient display is turned on. I'd like to thank @Barracuda77777 for suggesting a fix for this issue. I'll also make various other minor tweaks for a better user experience. Be patient, the wait for a new update is almost over.

Lastly, if you're facing issues with this ROM, many of them can be fixed by reflashing MIUI 12.5 and then clean flashing the latest build according to the installation instructions, especially if you came from an older build.

Um..yeah, that's about it. See ya soon.
