Today i flashed the a13 version, everything is great except the fact that people can't hear me on calls, i even see the mic usage icon on top right but it won't work on calls only, on everything else the mic is working. I have all mic permissions on so idk maybe a bug?

We have a solution, need to flash fw_alioth_miui_ALIOTHGlobal_V13.0.3.0.SKHMIXM_07afcb74cd_12.0.zip - calls should start work

or you can:
1) apply the fix for that microphone problem suggested by lukasz_m but please keep in mind you flashed a BETA rom release (13 is the newest Android version) so some BUGS are expected.
OR
2) clean flash the last PE 12 version that is now DISCONTINUED but it's STABLE compared to the 13 you are trying to use.

i installed that firmware but the issue still remains. I have orangefox recovery.

Regarding microphone not working during calls I can confirm that lzgmc commented 4 days ago
"Will fix in next build".

IF you have only one phone, so your alioth device is your daily driver for work/life, just wait and don't install the 13 BETA version, at least until it reaches the STABLE milestone.
I'm sure lzgmc is doing anything in his power to fix every known issue or bugs.

Hey...
I heard that from PE12 to PE13 you can also dirty upgrade without loosing data.. BUT anyway If i were you I would make a backup to be safe.

About backup I used:
A) google backup (under system, backup) to backup my Call logs, sms, screen background settigns, installed apps (no data, so you must renenter creentials and other stuff), wifi passwords... >>> all will be stored to your google account cloud.
B) WhatsApp backup chat on google drive (under settings, chat, backup)..same for other chat apps, google "how to backup appname"
C) if you have root you can use Titanium backup root for apps/data but it's a bit tricky and some of the apps ..keep in mind that also the 13 should be rooted to write your app/data

Do OTA security updates continue even though this version has been discontinued? If not, can they be done in some other way?

Does anybody here have this problem with "at a glance" and its settings? Sliders dont change anything. Clearing cache and storage does nothing. There is just date on the screen. It's a clean install, not rooted or modified.
