[ROM][12.1][OFFICIAL][CEPHEUS] crDroid v8.13 [21.01.2023]

I've been using this rom for the last month and it's been great, although I have an issue: The haptic vibration setting (the vibration that occurs when you press any button or keyboard) is being constantly re-enabled several times per day, no matter how many times I disable it from the setting menu. Is anyone else experiencing this?

INSTALLATION : DIRTY (coming from latest cr 8.3 !!)

1. flash crDroid (magisk addon should auto-flash as well - so no need to redo in the end)
2. (optional) flash Gapps (when having boot issue)
3. flash DFE (reboot to recovery if 4.)
4. (optional) flash magisk 24.x (if magisk addon didn't install well after rom flash)
5. boot & ENJOY

INSTALLATION : CLEAN !! SO DO BACKUP ALL IN CASE WHEN NEED TO RESTORE

1. backup all
2. format data, reboot recovery
3. flash crDroid and reboot recovery
4. flash Gapps ( I'm using Nikgapps basic)
5. flash magisk 24.x (optional)
6. flash DFE (optional)
7. boot & ENJOY

i want to install the rom on my mi9.
my bootloader is unlocked and i´m currently on the latest miui eu rom (12.5.6.0) and twrp 3.4.0.1 and no root.

i´m a little bit confused, do i need the pe recovery, or the TWRP 3.4.0-10 Unofficial by mauronofrio or the twrp 3.6xx ?

should i backup my device via my currently installed twrp, or with a newer/better recovery?

And a second question (i´ve done a little bit of searching..)
is google pay and onlinebanking working (i know it could work with a little bit of "magisk-work")

I hope that i can switch to this rom

1. As the TWRP is not yet the best option, it's preferred to use PE recovery or like in my case EvolutionOS recovery.

2. Well can't answer that since none of my backups worked

3. GPay and other will work with no issues (in my case only that u can pay with locked phone and screen on) i haven't tried install magisk and use GPay simultaneously so can't help if SafetyNet will refuse to work

I got it to work, but had to format the data (because of encryption footer failure)..
I've done it with twrp and add the dfe fix after the rom zip (and after the gapps zip).
I think its ok now

My opinion is to install PE recovery, format everything and then install this ROM.
It will work perfectly with OTA.
And don't install DFE it is not needed anymore.

Crdroid is Running very well so far

One thing (maybe it is a wrong setting):
The battery discharges somewhat quickly and when charging there seems to be a problem: the charging process starts, stops at some point and continues....
I have only noticed this when wireless charging.... Is this known?
And thats uncool, because the qi-charger-led and the phone display lights up every time in the night

Changing the recovery is possible without any restriction. You can change it.

I also fell a battery drain in this Rom, but I am not concerned so far.
The problem described I didn't notice yet.

- updated to V12.5.6.0.RFACNXM CN
- then TWRP booting - advanced wipe without interial storage
- falshing the latest crdroid
- flashing gapps (NikGapps-personal-arm64-12-20220914-signed?) I think right?

2. I want to install Gcamera. What version is good for my rom
3. What do you recommend adblocker for this rom?
4. I replaced my old battery with a new 4000mAh. So what do I have to change to show the percentage of charge?

Did you install something else? like DFE?

In my opinion:
install PE recovery
Install this Rom
format data

and from now on, you will be able to do OTA without any problem

I had installed the variant with PE bootloader. I have done several automatic updates since.
The last update stuck is the phone is in an infinite loop because it seems to fail to launch the 8.9 update.

I am not a pro, what I did was "the sorcerer's apprentice", follow these instructions at your own risk and responsibility

To solve the problem:

fastboot flash recovery .\twrp-3.4.0-10-cepheus-mauronofrio.img
fastboot reboot recovery

In TWR unlock RW and restart SYSTEM.

/!\ At this point your phone should work but any update will break it. /!\

MAKE YOUR BACKUPS NOW, you will lose the DATA partition

I have battery issues... Last night (between 22:00 and 06:30) it went from 100% to 35%. It also drains very fast during day.
I think it's because it didn't go into deep sleep. The deep sleep value is always 0% on the About panel.
AOD: off, Tap to wake: off, Lift to check phone: off

What could be causing this?

And one other big thing is, that the wifi turns off - i don't know why, because i was all the time at home.

Same issue here. The battery is empty within a very short time. this was not the case in the previous version.

Maybe i found the "wrong" setting for my wifi problem:

In Settings -> Network & Internet -> adaptive connectivity was set to "on". I switcht it off and it seems to work
