hello, i am trying to upgrade from LineageOS 16 to this 19.1, but after following the instructions from https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/tissot/upgrade it is stuck in the boot animation of LoS. The animation actually freezes.

Do I maybe need to upgrade some firmware to support the kernel? If so, where can I get it?

Hello, I have a small problem. When you deactivate airplane mode it takes almost a minute to restore the 5Ghz Wi-Fi network... with 2.5Ghz it only takes two seconds and it connects.

It's weird because if I turn off airplane mode and quickly go into wifi networks, it connects quickly, but if you just turn off airplane mode without going into the wifi section afterwards, it takes about a minute to connect.

I have tried everything without success, put a fixed, dynamic IP, change dns... but it does not influence.

It's a mistake? In my other terminals it does not happen, only in Xiaomi mi a1. I have another Mi A1 with the MIUI system and it works correctly, when I remove the airplane mode in a couple of seconds it connects to the 5Gz network.

Let's see if someone can try it on their terminal and give me a hand.

LineageOS only supports upgrades between single major versions. You have to update to 17.1 and 18.1 first.
If I remember correctly at some point there was even some migration in place which required one specific build...
I think you will be much better of with a clean flash.

Interesting... I can confirm, it is the same for me. Even with disabled Bluetooth.

It happened to me at least 5,6 times with different Xiaomi phones and best solution was back to stock ROM and then flash everything(TWRP, ROM, GAPPS) step by step, nice and smooth. And then everything was just beautiful.

Never mind. The problem was TWRP. If I do not flash it but rather boot it from fastboot, everything is fine.

Hi, could you explain briefly how you flashed it through boot (fastboot) for flawless experience? I'm unrooted stock latest Android 9. Have to flash TWRP too.

#flashaddict, i had every nexus and Pixel 3 and now 5.



I would like to resurrect an old Mi A1, installing lineage 19.1 and Gapps.

I'm using lineage recovery and adb sideload.



adb sideload lineage19.1.zip

everthign fine

adb sideload MindTheGapps-12.1.0-arm64-20220605_112439.zip

signature verification failed, i force the installation, everithing go fine....



reboot system and, no gapps installed.

Same appens installing Magisk, it seems everything go fine, but no magisk installed

What i'm doing wrong?

EDIT: my bad, missing a reboot after rom flash and before gapps

EDIT2 so, no family link account on lineage os? the setup rpocedure say i have to update system. same way of bypass and usa a child account?

I use this rom since quite a while and have a strange problem:
Some weeks after installation the fingerprint sensor stops working.
If I reflash a new version of the rom, fingerprint works again, but yet after some weeks it stops again.
Anybody experienced this too?
Any ideas how to solve this?

Whatabout banking software under this ROM cause its not enough secured ...each time i open my banking app it require to générate a sécurity key but it return me an error so it doesnt work for me....

Fingerprint sensor doesn't work properly is an old bug but I don't think anyone ever provide a proper log about it.

I don't know why but it happens when you restart or shut off and turn on your smartphone again while you had your Wi-Fi connection still on.
Try restart your smartphone with your Wi-Fi connection off and you should see your fingerprint sensor works properly.

So, just remember this about your Wi-Fi connection.

LOS doesn't support this kind of problems, but it's not its fault.

You should try using Magisk and read about Universal SafetyNet Fix: this helps a lot with banking apps on custom ROMs.
