I've been absolutely in love with this rom, it's the best custom rom I've ever used, thank you so much for your work. The thing is though I updated just now (clean flash) to the new update, and now the WiFi doesn't work, it just turns itself off if I try to turn it on. I wanted to update asap cause of the micam app.

Idk if it's something I've done and it's working for others or what.

How to install this Rom using los recovery ?
if need firmware how do I flash it using adb?
And which step should I take first?
Flash Rom first or firmware first?

Can you explain in detail?

So about the WiFi not working, idk if it was because of the order I installed them (I just followed the front page instructions exactly) but basically when I went to install the firmware for my "willow" it told me "this is a ginkgo" and wouldn't let me install it which I knew was wrong but I had no idea installing the wrong firmware would both actually install and hard brick my phone.

I mean it's completely my bad I accept full responsibility for it so I'm not complaining about the rom. But in regards to people with a "willow" maybe the order of the installation should be firmware and then the rom? idk if that would help though, thanks for all the work anyway, your rom made the note 8t a lot better than stock.

sure, but the order doesn't matter actually
I'll change it in the post anyway since flashing firmware before sounds cleaner to me while it might make 0 difference.
Regarding different firmwares for both the devices, I've mentioned it properly in the instructions that we've seperate firmware for ginkgo and willow by linking separate links to their firmwares.

I am going to be very honest with this, recently we've grown a lot and now we've over 10 officially supported devices for PixelOS. All the test builds and release builds are automated and are compiled on our CI server. We started using pling as a download site for all of our builds (you may have to search for how pling works) which is ad-free and helps us cover a small fraction of our server costs.
XDA doesn't allow pling download links, so I have decided to post one version older builds here so people can still use it instead of discontinuing this thread.
I hope you understand.

I dirty flashed "PixelOS_ginkgo-12.0-20220101-1205.zip" which I downloaded about 40 minutes ago, over the 26/11/2021 version, and it couldn't decrypt my files so it threw me into a bootloop. I almost reset my phone, but I reflashed the older version and my data is intact, thankfully. Now I see that the files on SourceForge are being actively modified and a new one has been added. Could it be related to my issue? :D

I recommend doing a clean flash since you're on a really old build.

So yesterday I decided to give this Rom a try for the very first time. As I clicked download button it redirected me to sourceforge website and I downloaded the earlier build ( November build) just Cz the file wasn't updated there but was updated on pling.
All this time I thought I was using latest build.

    Hello !
has anyone tried to root his phone with this ROM and Magisk ?
I tried 2 days ago and the only thing I got was a phone booting on OrangeFox...
If you succeed, could you please tell me which "components" did you use ?

    Thanks for helping me.
Download the latest Magisk as APK and install it through Orangefox

    Hi !
After downloading the package, when you click on "Install", it reboots on Orangefox by itself.
I've clean flashed it, and it doesn't boot,
    reboots into recovery. Help?

Note:- Formatted Data twice and flashed from again. it worked.
    thank you! excellent rom.

PixelOS is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, themed icons, google sans fonts, Monet color based system wide theming, boot animation), a fork of OG Pixel Experience with improvements on the top of it. Huge respect to Pixel Experience team for their work, thanks to them for making this ROM possible.
In short a fully functional Pixel Experience with just the right amount of essentials.

    Code:
/* Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */
    Improvements over PixelExperience
    Performance improvements from ProtonAOSP
    Reduced log spam verbosity
Separate QS tiles for WiFi and Mobile data
    Monet bootanimation
    Aggressive Idle mode
Allow toggling screen off FOD for supported devices
Allow option to disable screenshot shutter sound
Switch for linked ring and media notification volumes
Allow to disable battery estimates in QS
    Allow disabling unlocking ripple animation
Apply monet to fingerprint authentication ripple animation
Bluetooth battery icon in status bar
Status bar tuner and Full screen Display
    In-call vibration customizations
Navbar layout inversion in 3 button gesture style
    Android 12 style 4G/LTE icons
    Add/remove QS with one click
    Increased UI responsiveness
    Optimized Night Light
    Per app network restrictions
    Annoying notifications
    Three-fingers-swipe to screenshot
    Allow to disable privacy indicators
    Doubletap/longpress power to toggle torch
Double tap to sleep on lockscreen
Double tap to sleep on statusbar
    Volume key music control
Themed icons for a lot of 3rd party apps
Extended Monet to more UI elements
Simple RGB color balance transform sliders
More font size in 5% steps from 80% to 130%
    First-class implementation of Repainter app
A lot of optional Quick Setting tiles
    Caffeine
    Heads up
    Sync
    Adaptive Brightness
    Ambient display
    Always on display
    USB tether
    Live display
    Under the hood optimizations

    Device Specific Issues:
    • Slow charging on Chinese variants (temporary workaround is to flash a different kernel like Sixteen or Ryzen Kernel).
    • 48MP doesn't work in MIUI Camera (won't work on android 12 because of source built libcamera service).
    • You tell me.

    Requirements
    • Latest Global Stable Android 11 firmware for ginkgo and willow users

Didn't find any camera app after the first boot. Does it have any? Would be great, if it has had MiCam port.
