Alternatively, you can press Settings/Apps/See all xxx apps/Google Play services/App details, and it will redirect to the Google Play services page on Play store. Click "update" button and wait for it to finish.
This should address the CPU frequency raise and heat build-up issue caused by Google's SystemUpdate module. If it still happens after the update, let me know.
Yes that would be enough.
It seems to be working fine for other people.Hi, first thanks for the great work here, I love the ROM and have been using it for a while now, since version 10.
Has anybody else experienced problems updating via OTA? I got the notification about the update, downloaded it, but when trying to install, I get a message saying the phone will reboot in recovery mode in order to update, but it never does. I have tried to reboot into recovery manually, but then I can only update via ADB. Same thing happened a couple of versions ago, but the one previous to this last one, worked correctly
Hmm that's weird. It shows up fine for me.Thanks for keeping this device alive. I appreciate that a lot.
I have one question. I can't activate the bluetooth symbol in status bar. It's not visible. I checked the status bar settings and deactivated and reactivated the symbol again. No change. Is it just me?
I don't have time to follow the whole thread. I pointed you to PixelPropsUtil because PE 12 just merged a fix for the battery draining & heat build-up issue from GMS. Basically ROMs need to only spoof gms.unstable process. Port that patch to a11 instead of dropping the spoof completely. Thanks, just wanted to follow-up with you to say that another person found this code to be the source of the faulty behavior on yet another ROM, and was able to stop the issue by removing this and some other related code -- so it definitely looks like other devs will have to start with that: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...le-play-services.4406617/page-5#post-87173289
