Respected Developer @joeyhuab,
Sir, after the latest update fingerprint sensor is not working for me anymore...... Sensor area screen is lighting up but no vibration from sensor trying to read ... Tried rebooting & deleting cache from recovery still facing same issue... Please let me know if / how i can provide you with any debug log to help further ... But without fingerprint sensor working life is very difficult.
U can dirty flash
You enable one at a time, not all at once. That won't logically work with any environment, kernel or system side. The DC dimming, nightlight and extra dim features seems to be conflicting with one another. Turning on DC dimming, i lose extra dim and nightlight; turning on extra dim i loose DC dimming and so on. Moreover, when DC dimming is on, the brightness gets pumped up after screen lock and unlock. Unfortunately, I need all of them to work together if I am to wake up without a headache in the morning, after a heavy late night cellphone usage.
You're expecting different stuff to all work at once for you when it isn't designed that way. Extra dim was added by Google into Android 12. Night light has been in Android way before that. DC Dimming is now called Anti flicker and is part of LiveDisplay code from Lineage.i don't know why you mad brotake a chill pill. if they were supposed to be enabled one at a time, it should be designed so. why you mad at me for doing something that the system allows me to do. ok fine I'll just stick with the DC dimming but could you please look into the brightness jump issue on screen unlock when DC dimming is on. that's a genuine issue.
With all the different variables for dc dimming (kernel changes, tree changes) and not discounting the changes needed to be done framework side (lockscreen especially), there's no foolproof way to make it work 100% like on MIUI. If you can point me to any other ROM that has dc dimming working 100% like MIUI, then i might take a look at it.ok i see how it is laid out. thanks for the explanation.
but agenda is a strong word don't you think? i was and still am merely seeking help with something that wasn't working from the standpoint of an average user. stop overthinking.
I'm on a recent build with may 5th patch and it does say antiflicker on the toggle but I'm just calling it for what it is.
night light and extra dim are optional on my list as i believe the headaches are related to the low light flickering. So I'd appreciate it if DC dimming worked without the brightness issue.
now, focusing on the DC dimming, the issue isn't that the brightness flickers on FOD. the issue is, the brightness jumps from 0 to 35% and stays at that when the screen timeouts and is turned on later.
flash magisk after you've flashed the rom without booting. you can add the magisk to the flash queue along with the rom.Hi,
Maybe a stupid question but is there currently a way of retaining encryption and installing Magisk (and modules)?
TWRP fails to decrypt after first boot meaning you can't install Magisk that way
You can flash magisk right after flashing the ROM and before rebooting.Hi,

Thanks, I'll give this another shot! Did it once and it bootlooped so thought it may have something to do with encryption. You can flash magisk right after flashing the ROM and before rebooting.
Although I have a query if my own: does this rom support encryption? I didn't flash any dfe zip and my settings > security says my device is encrypted, but I am able to see all my files in Orangefox unencrypted.
I am running the June 11th build and am getting 8hrs SOT and 2 days of stand by. So suggest to format internal storage and do clean flashIs there any solution for the battery drain on the latest rom? I really want to continue using it but the drain is too drastic. I'm charging 3 times a day on this rom. I can get with the weird charging issues and the random weird icons appearing when typing but the drain, I can't do it.
I have a clean flashed stock rom and using OrangeFox for recovery. I didn't use Magisk, just the rom. Any fix for the drain would help a lot.
Would you like to visit our GitHub for comprehensive checking of all open source codes? https://github.com/Evolution-X and our devices org for device specific stuffsyncing contacts? mail and calendar was active too but i don't use, i had nothing on it. and if i had things doesn't lead so much uploading (multiple MBps for minutes)
every settings on my google account was meticulously checked (basically every possible options were disabled) no backups was active while uploading kept going
other explanations?
