I started to use a new app and hid it with Magisk, but it still wouldn't work, but the app suggested to switch off USB debugging and this did the trick.

Sir, after the latest update fingerprint sensor is not working for me anymore...... Sensor area screen is lighting up but no vibration from sensor trying to read ... Tried rebooting & deleting cache from recovery still facing same issue... Please let me know if / how i can provide you with any debug log to help further ... But without fingerprint sensor working life is very difficult.

I am deeply delighted with the work done so far and the effort you put, Sir, for us to have a wonderful experience. This latest update has so addressed many concerns. The only challenge I have is while using the location on Google Maps the device heats up like an oven. Apart from that thank you for the overall experience.
In the upcoming build, if possible, request to address the same. Also it would mean a lot should you consider adding the option to allow for larger grids (5*7 - 5*9) on homepage.

The DC dimming, nightlight and extra dim features seems to be conflicting with one another. Turning on DC dimming, i lose extra dim and nightlight; turning on extra dim i loose DC dimming and so on. Moreover, when DC dimming is on, the brightness gets pumped up after screen lock and unlock. Unfortunately, I need all of them to work together if I am to wake up without a headache in the morning, after a heavy late night cellphone usage.
You enable one at a time, not all at once. That won't logically work with any environment, kernel or system side.
Ok fine I'll just stick with the DC dimming but could you please look into the brightness jump issue on screen unlock when DC dimming is on. That's a genuine issue.

You're expecting different stuff to all work at once for you when it isn't designed that way. Extra dim was added by Google into Android 12. Night light has been in Android way before that. DC Dimming is now called Anti flicker and is part of LiveDisplay code from Lineage.i don't know why you mad brotake a chill pill. if they were supposed to be enabled one at a time, it should be designed so. why you mad at me for doing something that the system allows me to do. ok fine I'll just stick with the DC dimming but could you please look into the brightness jump issue on screen unlock when DC dimming is on. that's a genuine issue.
I'm "mad" because you're trying to push an agenda that all 3 features should work together all at once when that was never advertised.
The brightness flickers on lockscreen because we're on an FOD device and Night Light is automatically turned off on the lockscreen or else it won't unlock properly. You're obviously on an outdated build since you still call it DC dimming.

With all the different variables for dc dimming (kernel changes, tree changes) and not discounting the changes needed to be done framework side (lockscreen especially), there's no foolproof way to make it work 100% like on MIUI. If you can point me to any other ROM that has dc dimming working 100% like MIUI, then i might take a look at it.
so no luck there. I doubt any of the other roms for this device have anything close to what we have here.

flash magisk after you've flashed the rom without booting. you can add the magisk to the flash queue along with the rom.
You can flash magisk right after flashing the ROM and before rebooting.
Although I have a query if my own: does this rom support encryption? I didn't flash any dfe zip and my settings > security says my device is encrypted, but I am able to see all my files in Orangefox unencrypted.
Thanks, I'll give this another shot! Did it once and it bootlooped so thought it may have something to do with encryption.
For me it did and TWRP was encrypted.
Also read about on OrangeFox that no A12 recovery can decrypt the data partition but if you manage to see it you're basically lucky

I am running the June 11th build and am getting 8hrs SOT and 2 days of stand by. So suggest to format internal storage and do clean flash2Just updated: First thing I noticed: The refresh rate is now 72Hz! The device is so much more smoother that's incredible. Moreover you don't need to turn the screen off to have a smooth fps after restart. This is a real plus
[I semi dirty flashed, ie I deleted system partition and flashed the update with no problem]
Edit: enabled the status bar logo toggle and I instantly got a black screen and now I'm stuck in a bootloop. I clean flashed and for the sake of I don't know what, I tried to turn on again logo on status bar and I crashed exactly the same way. Be careful! (I have the clock centered setting if that could be linked to something) -

15A follow-up update is now out! Some important fixes are included like the crashing caused by CRT animation during screen off while watching Netflix, Data usage feature is now toggleable via Evolver, safetynet should work a lot better now along with hiding the Space below keyboard as well as the navbar hint. The most important fix included is the app crashing fix which allows users to use apps like HDFC again. Enjoy!

32After around 20 test builds, I and other users can assure you better battery life on this new update. Deep sleep issues have been confirmed to be squashed so no need to do anything regarding that. A lot of device-side changes to further update/improve our current situation on Android 12.
Bluetooth aptX Adaptive and aptX TWS(+) are now supported as we've switched to the QTI Bluetooth stack. Skia Vulkan is now the default for UI rendering. Several improvements to audio has also been done to improve calls and music streaming. A lot of sepolicy denials have been addressed to ensure less logging during system uptime.
Extended swipe/advanced nav gestures have been removed in favor of a more stable gesture nav experience. It was causing some gesture issues, especially in apps during landscape mode. NFC icons for the status bar and QS tile have been updated (for Global and CN users) while esepowermanager and secure_element have been totally disabled for raphaelin users as they relate to NFC as well. Gboard spoof has been switched to redfin to avoid some force close issues while Play store will no longer be spoofed as app developers can apparently now block certain device fingerprints from downloading their apps.
I've been having almost 2 weeks of sleepless nights, testing and making sure everything is stable and won't cause any more battery drains. There have been reports of improved active and idle drains in the tele group already after testing. I hope you guys enjoy and continue supporting Evo X by donating. Thanks!
