Not only you. Happens to me aswell.

For me it looks like there is some sort of delay happening. So for example I swipe up and hold and immediately want to remove the app from recents list (so swiping up again) I notice some sort of delay (~1-2s) for all actions I am doing after that. The device still performs all those actions in order but with said delay. Once everything settles and all actions are done the device is back to normal.

Also that behaviour only happens in like 1/10 times.

Another thing I have noticed is with the always-on-display and fingerpring / doubletap-to-wake recognition. Seems to behave very strange aswell.
- always-on-display sometimes shows the time/date/notifications smal in the left top corner
--> fingerpring unlock does not work here (besides show the unlock symbol)
--> first doubletap-to-wake and then fingerprint unlock is recognized
- always-on-display is large centered in the middle
--> fingerprint unlock works right away

I cant really make out which always-on scenario appears when and for what reason.
Doubletap-to-wake seems to be really hit or miss in any case tho... (most of the time miss and not recognizing at all)

Other than that, flawless ROM and nice an fast support and fixes! Thanks a ton!

I have found a temporary fix for the recent app bug. Go into accessibility in settings - text and display - then toggle remove animations. See if that helps.

Yep, the quality of AAC on Android is low. It has a much lower bitrate than AAC on iOS (where it's actually 256kbps).

Video works fine for me. No stuttering. Try to clean the cache and storage for the camera app.

Thank you for your advice, I tried it, still the same stuttering in the first second. In general the camera app isn´t as stable as in OOS 11 (for me). I´m on the latest version of evolution os. Probably someone else faces the sames issues.

I know which issue you're talking about. I had it before on OOS11 and it was also discussed on Reddit. Multiple people were having this same issue with the first seconds of video recording. It looks like a bug somewhere in the app and last time I fixed it is by factory resetting the phone. This isn't an OS-specific problem.

hmm...The recovery shipped with this ROM does not allow to sideload magisk because the verification fails. Good that I did 'fastboot boot recovery.img' and could use the original recovery to install it.

But, kudos to devs here: This is a great ROM! I just installed it and will be playing with it in the coming days and hopefully, not needing to come back here for help....

I have an issue.
I clean installed the latest version of evox and while installing all my apps I had app crashes from HDFC and ICICI mobile banking apps.
Now upi apps and axis Bank apps works perfectly but the other 2 don't please help.

Also if possible can the developer align the status bar and signal icons with the front camera notch? Its aligned way towards the top.

You need to use a custom gcam to access that lens. Support for it is included in the ROM already

Alternative installation method:

* Download Evolution-X (ROM zip & Fastboot ROM Installer) and extract the files.

* Copy payload.bin from the ROM zip to Payload Dumper, specifically to Payload Input folder.

* Run payload_dumper.exe and wait for extraction to complete.

* After fully extracted, go to Payload Output folder and copy all the image files to the main folder where fastboot files are located.

* Connect your device to PC

* Reboot your device into fastboot mode

* Run ROMinstaller.exe

* Wait until all images have been flashed

* When done, go to recovery mode and factory reset (wiping is a MUST if coming from another ROM, it's not required if you're updating)

* Reboot to system and #KeepEvolving

Did it exactly like this and now my one plus 8t start every time in fastboot.

Hi @AnierinB . I'm not sure if you expect them to work, but on 8T, the macro lens doesn't work, even with the snapcam versions. When switching to lens 3 (macro lens), any of the gcam versions I've tried crash. I've tried Greatness, BSG, Wichaya and all with the same result. Happy to post logs etc. if you're interested.

Hey @AnierinB I see these messages a lot in the log. It sort of floods and I think this may be causing battery drain by not letting the phone deep sleep:
