Now I see, I was looking at a wrong perspective.
Using VLC at the moment for my media playback needs.
Will wait for the next update of CleanROM, haha!

Seems I have an OCD as well.
Re-flashed 4.4.1 Stock Rooted, then applied 4.4.2 update.
Root again using NRT 1.7.9
Re-flashed bionic and dalvik patch
Re-flashed ElementalX 2.3, All done!

Another reason why kitkat sucks is battery life lol

I don't think KitKat sucks on battery at all. You're using the sh*t outta your Tablet tho! I use mine quite a bit but mostly I'm on here or on the net somewhere, minus doing other random things offline...

I did similar! Instead...
I re-flashed this ROM (Stock Rooted 4.4.1 - Odex Version)
Wiped Cache/Dalvik Cache (and rebooted)
Then initially I tried applying the update thru System Update but it would hang on "Rebooting Now..."
So instead, I rebooted into Recovery (TWRP)
Flashed the OTA Update manually (to my surprise it worked!!)
Wiped Cache/Dalvik Cache again and rebooted!

Also to my surprise I didn't lose SuperSU either (not just the app but ROOT all together!!) ?
