Screenshot not working. Cant take screenshot with 3 finger gesture and if I taje screenshot using hard keys, instantly get an error in notification bar saying that "screenshot cant be saved" and the screenshot is not available in photos or file manager as well.

Any fix for this?

I have problem with update when I try update, the pack has been downloaded and I click update and the phone start with PixelExpirience recovery mode but I cannot do nothing because phone doesn't see update but on screen I see "INSTALATION ABORTED" additionally I tried instal TWRP but without result the TWRP don't work the phone starts normally (of course I used other versions for this phone) somebody know what I do wrong ?

My installation:
From installed miui 12.5.4.0 EEA
1.wipe cache, system, data, internal storge, vendor
2. advance -> adb sideload PE-A12rom.zip
3. format data
4.reboot
I dont have fingerprint option or faceID unlock

For the ones on A11 and want to fully stop forced system update and huge battery drain:

1. Root your device using Magisk
2. Use an explorer with root access to find Hosts Archive (System/ect/Hosts), in my case i've used FX file explorer to mount/read the files in system folders
3. Edit adding those lines to blacklist those 2 google domains who check if updates are on

127.0.0.1 ota.googlezip.net
127.0.0.1 ota-cache1.googlezip.net

4. Save Hosts, lock system files and reset.

Battery drain and data usage should be normal now.

thanks, but what about those who can't root device because banking apps won't work? I've tried workarounds to pass safety net but could never get it to work. Considering switching to another brand of ROM because of the battery drain

Magisk already has an option once rooted and installed to hide from bank and safety net security

...lock system files - you mean mount read only ?
...and reset - factory reset ?

CAN'T INSTALL MAGISK NOW

New version PE update 22/01 work fine.
If you use old version, open magisk apk in Google Files and install magisk after flash it in twrp. But i recommend update for more fixes.

I had problem with bluetooth connection range as said in this issue the solution is

Miui 12.5 FW issue.. mostly use latest FW

WHere I can find latest FW? WHat is the difference between firmware and PE ? There is a guide to install latest FW? How can I check which version of FW I have?
For installing magisk I can upload on the device from recovery cause I have only a bunch of folders all with strange names.

I am experiencing issues with my carkit. I'm using pixel experience on a Redmi note 8 pro with a Ford C-max. But when it is connected I don't hear a thing from the carkit while it is connected and switching when there is a call. But no sound when connected to a call.

WHat is the difference between firmware and PE ?

PE is the android-rom, firmware is the low-level software for hardware support. This might not be an accurate description but should make the differnce a bit clearer.

Don't downgrade. Just follow flash guide.

Greetings, I hope you are all in good spirits.
First of all, thanks for the fork for the Android 12 version.

Visually, A12 is insanely beautiful and Pixel Experience Edition to boot, so no third-party crap (like I loathe Xiaomi's MIUI - way too loaded and visually an insult).

All in all, you've done a great job.

I still have a few complications, but I see them more as teething troubles.

• Bluetooth connection (headphones) very unstable + too short range (max. 15cm, otherwise connection loss) - is actually due to the Pixel Experience Rom, both A11 and A12. The connection is stable for several meters via Miui.
• Mobile data has a slightly weaker signal.
• USB tethering (both sharing wifi and via mobile data works rather changeably, sometimes not at all, wifi is a bit more stable).
• When scrolling, there is often screentearing / visible screen tearing or even stuttering, especially in the Google Play Store or on larger vertical lists.

I have to mention the following positively:

- Installation was very easy, if you follow the recommendations.
- Visually a blast
- Rooting / Magisk installation very simple
- Play Store certification
- Fingerprint & screenshot function usable out of the box without workarounds

And lastly, really love you guys for still breathing some life into the old Begonia!

I can't run recovery rom. TWRP screen is apear for 1 minute and then device restart. Should i need newest FW ? I have V12.0.6.0.QGGEUXM. Or maybe any other recovery rom?
