I came from oneplus 7t derpfest and i've flashed this rom on my 8t, it's amazing a same it was on 7t. Really great job devs.

One thing only to report, i've flashed via fastboot method and everyting ok, but after reboot i got a crashdump and unable to boot device to android. This had happened with stock fastboot oos too, same problem. I've simply solved sideloading derp via its recovery, this is working better, fastboot method not working at all.

I'm impressed about FOD, is working really great and without any issues

Ok, question then please. I'm not quite a developer but I struggled through rooting my galaxy s7 then oneplus 7t and now oneplus 8t and for whatever reason I really like TWRP. Can is use twrp with Derpfest?

Thank you
I don't have tested twrp on this device yet and i was not using it on 7t neither. On 7t i still have derp recovery as same it is on 8t, for what i know, twrp for 8t is in alpha, but in its thread it is specified that flashing custom rom is working if i dont remember wrong

TWRP 3.5.2 something from the unofficial version is working for me it's been working well. I have had Havoc-OS installed until yesterday and really just looking around for something different. Do you know of a way to install Derpfest with twrp or is that not likely?

I just installed Derpfest. My phone is telling me I have no room to install or update anything, storage shows that I am using 1% of my 256 and the option to manage storage shows there is nothing to remove.

Help?
So twrp is not working for flash i presume.

I really don't know, try to MSM, it always saves me and my devices, then reinstall derp but with its recovery that you can extract from payload, before installing the rom.

Quick question, I noticed my 65w charger doesn't charge the device anymore when on derpfest while a regular charger works. Is this expected on custom ROMs?

Hey, I tried to fresh install the latest release. However when I tried to install the zip with TWRP, it failed with ErrorCode::kDownloadOperationExecutionError

When I tried the adb sideload approach, it failed to verify hash. I tried to install anyway, but failed.

I opened the zip file to check if the zip is corrupted, it is not.
For reference, the file I downloaded: DerpFest-12-Community-Shion-lemonkebab-20211115-1721.zip

I dumped the payload.bin file in the zip and flashed the img files through fastbootd with LOS official recovery. Worked great.

This really was @theincognito project. I just picked it up to tinker with it. I certainly dont want to take away from what hes done/doing. Incredbly nice as well.

Yep, but the thread was posted by apophis9283. I think apophis used incognito's trees for building. Not sure though.
Yes and no. I did start with his trees. He's in my small chat on telegram. So yes collaboration was part of it. I made changes outside of his. I had source that had a ton more changes like more options in TWRP etc... But I lost that image and source when Linux entered an unrecoverable state. When I get it all back you can check periodically on my AFH in a few days. Ill have more fixes I'll be adding. Incognito was absolutely fundamental in what I did. I do not want to take away from his amazing work. Once I get everything going again, I'll be sharing my source with him.
