Proton VPN - WiFi hotspot works and USB thetering works in Lineage OS 19.1 maybe in Pixel Experince.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.mygod.vpnhotspot&hl=cs&gl=US I installed this app enabled root access and at least the WiFi hotspot works. USB thetering doesn't handle it yet though. HOtspot in Lineage OS 19.1 works for me.

there are many options in the app which one to turn on to enable hotspot, the normal one?
Edit: I tried the app but hotspot is still not working for me in pixel rom

For kane. Better use Proton VPN. VPN hotspot do not work correctly. Work also USB tethering I'm very happy.

Go through the wiki, download the required files like vbmeta, dtbo, pixel rom and its recovery, flash them as mentioned in the instruction.
There are few issues in this rom, the hotspot and ott apps doesn't work(I have tried three and none of them loads the video)
Apart from these everything works fine
And also this project is discontinued, last update was the august update.

Try it for Proton VPN you just need to sign up for Pixel ROM. I had a Pixel but I badly needed a Hotspot so I tried going to LineageOS again, which is still being developed. LineageOS 20 work without VPN sharing internet is now good.

A month ago I changed my stock ROM to this one for the same reasons as you.
1. works fine.
2 and 3. I'm using payments through my banking app - everything works great. There is no root here, so don't worry.

I am very happy with the new ROM, it works quickly and efficiently. The transition instructions from the stock ROM are very clear and understandable. Just read each point carefully. I recommend.

But you say that you are using payment in your bank app. This is nothing related to NFC Payment
