I'm using the Plus version and in my willow, the setting "Access Control When Device Is Locked" doesn't make any difference, the controls are always accessible in lock screen, so as the power menu
Anyone else has this issue?

I've noticed that the built in recorder application doesn't work, in that despite having microphone access it fails to detect any audio when recording.

It is using 3.1 GB of memory at idle. Free memory is 770 MB. Doesn't she use it a lot?

I have a question regarding Pixel Experience for the Note 8T: Since this phone's subname is willow (ginkgo is the subname for the Note 8) and Pixel Experience is made for ginkgo, does this ROM really work on the Note 8T? Especially with NFC?

Redmi Note 8 (ginkgo) - I cannot flash the Pixel Experience recovery image, I keep getting a "the system has been destroyed" message.

I unlocked the bootloader and when I run the fastboot command and it says that it's successful but if I try to get into recovery (power button + volume up) I get the message saying "the system has been destroyed". Initially, after restarting it booted to MIUI normally but after trying an earlier Pixel Experience recovery image it just looped on this message.

I followed the installation guide and downloaded the recovery images file from here.

For anyone that may experience the same issue, this is what worked for me:

I went here as this is in the installation guide for xiaomi.eu. Found my device, ginkgo and I chose the TeamWin version. Flashed it exactly as described in the PE installation guide.

Flashing the ROM differed just slightly from the PE's guide.
Instead of factory reset, then format data, it was wipe, then format data.
Then to sideload with ADB you have to go to Advanced, then ADB Sideload and run the command "adb sideload filename.zip" from your PC.

Get vbmeta.img from your region's latest fastboot image then run this

fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img

I just received a May update for ginkgo (SP2A.220525.002). Seems like OTA failed immediately in recovery right after I click on Install.

I sideloaded over recovery and it works fine though.

How come wifi suddenly stopped working (May update)?

Wifi is constantly disconnected and when I try enabling it, the UI hangs until I get the the option to wait or restart the UI. Wifi does not work after that.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? This really is a showstopper for me...

are you on a ginkgoer? the update is pretty fine with me on Plus build

i'm on 8 so idk. you can check device codename by going to android debugging shell

I would say otherwise. It's slightly faster than old build.

Ok, so I just noticed that not only wifi, but bluetooth is gone as well.

No BT- and WIFI-MAC addresses.

This has to be a bug in the latest update. Before updating (from April update) everything worked fine.

well then I guess back your stuff up and reflash the rom (the PE rom, not stock rom). probably something went wrong while it's OTA-ing.

if it still doesn't work. I guess you had to factory reset it for real.

I actually did not update via OTA, as this did not work. (Someone described the same problem somewhere up in this thread). Downloaded it to SD and flashed it via the PE recovery.

I'll reflash it and see if it helps.
