Been using the wifi hotspot for a few days, when I woke up this morning I realised that it would turn itself off. I've tried rebooting the device and such but all that happens is that it turns off the hotspot, crashes settings and then the device goes into crashdump mode. There's no text on it though, and I had to revert back to OOS (I need to use hotspots) but I wasn't using root/kernel/anything else. Annoyingly wasnt able to get logs

Hi, I have these issues that are not mentioned in the bugs. Is it just me or does someone else also have them?
- voice is recorded from phone microphone, not from Bluetooth headphones
- Smart Lock location based unlock doesn't work most of the time
BTW, FOD icon is positioned a bit below the actual reader when logging in apps
And are there some ways to make fingerprint unlock be more reliable? It doesn't recognize most of the time

Thanks for this. This is great.

The only issue I am having is that I can't control media volume in the Plex media player app. It's stuck at a fixed volume. This is not an issue for YouTube, but is for Plex. Anyone else have this issue or can test it?

For some reason the device will automatically disconnect charging whenever fast charging is connected. It then resumes under normal charging before disconnecting again. Have to charge with the device off to avoid damage, or use a slow charger. Log found here as attaching won't work

edit: offline charging doesn't fix the issue, has to be on a slow charger to avoid the problem

Also just updated to 2.2 and thanks! Switching songs via volume rocker again and nice to see the integration of Dora! Runs smooth and fast. Also fingerprint runs remarkable better than before.

Camera app hasn't enough functionality for me so I'm using GCam from Greatness instead, but it's also not free of bugs.

Is there a way to adjust the auto brightness? It seems brighter in every condition to me than OOS. It's subjective, but a little bit darker would be nice.

Is anyone experiencing auto brightness issues? I'm having screen going full brightness when white background around light sensor. Else going full dark if dark background. Also when I adjust brightness to bit higher. After few seconds. Auto brightness adjusts to way higher. Almost like the screen is throwing light into light sensor in a closed loop. Really annoying. Oxygen os had it somewhat stable. Probably by comparing current OS brightness level with sensor output to figure out true ambient light data. Im using glass screen protector. But wasn't this bad in oxygen os. Any recommendation?

What did you do in sideloading?
I got it working via flashing magisk patched boot image to both a and b slots of boot. Also you will need canary magisk to root Android 12.

    The command I used.
    Code:
    fastboot flash --slot=all boot migiskpatchedboot.img
Not using the canary verison of the magisk was my mistake. Things are working fine now. My bad.

KOSP is a small project based off AOSP and we intend to improve upon AOSP to provide a stable and better alternative to OEM roms with additional features.

    Features

There are some cool features, see for yourself :D
Truth is I'm just lazy to write a long list of features and we intend to focus on the stability rather than adding a ton of features.

    Gapps is included!
    Note:
    • hotdogb has dropped sdcardfs
    • We are enforcing and safety net passes out of the box

    What's broken?
    1. You tell me :)

    Bug reporting:
    • DO NOT report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • Do not approach us without any logs for reporting bugs
    • If it is a random reboot, grab everything from /sys/fs/pstore. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

My display defaults to 60Hz. There seems to be no option to enable 90Hz. Could someone help me with this?
There is a qs tile which you can use.

so with this image procedure is: (btw I'm on PE 11)
    • Boot to bootloader
    • fastboot update rom.zip
    • Reboot to recovery
    • Factory reset in the recovery
    • Reboot system
Yep. If it errors out then unzip the said zip and then edit androidinfo.txt to say "board=msmnile" as your phone motherboard is slightly different.. Zip it all up and try again
