Mic doesn't seem to work. Only works in phone and assistant.
No 24bit audio output? Even Poweramp outputs 16bit both wired as well as Bluetooth. Also only a few audio output options in Poweramp. Does this have to do with the lack of Dirac? Moto Audio (Dolby Atmos) doesn't work.

Update - Moto Audio works. Just don't turn it off. If you do, then you have to force stop and clear data to get it working again.

Update 2 - Mic works. Disable Google assistant voice match (Hey Google). Thanks to prokiller1199

I use Unified Remote and this works fine there. Maybe wait for an App update?
Yes, teamviewer works great too, but not is similar, i checked Unified remote, but i used ApowerMirror in my past rom (Stock) because fastest, lighter, and simplicity.
I think that is a render bug, i dont know if is a decoding bug or something like this.
PD. Im using latest version of all software (rom and apps), will try downgraded app

So is there an official line on the update process yet?
I installed the original release by flashing the ROM, reboot to recovery then flashed the OnePlus zip, magisk alpha that was linked in post 3, then gapps then I thought I'd best flash twrp again. Obviously had to flash magisk alpha again.
Tried formating data and had an error possibly error 7 but can't remember, so rebooted recovery once more and was able to format.
Once the ROM had booted once and id confirmed root I went back to twrp and flashed my migrate zips.
All working fine apart from one pair of my Bluetooth headphones. They have control working and system sounds but not media sound tried messing with all the Bluetooth settings but no go.
Another pair which have aptx work fine.
I don't use android auto so can't comment.

So... I want to flash the update.

Anyone have a process they used that kept all their data intact and can share what they did please?
It would be good to have clear update instructions with such a great rom.

And thanks to the dev for releasing it!

Idk why you're asking for clear instructions... the OP has exactly what you're looking for.

Are those still valid though in light of all the comments after the update was released? And that doesn't answer the question of data being left intact after the update does it. So thanks for your reply anyway, I guess.
The update instructions don't mention wiping data or data getting wiped so in my opinion that makes it obvious enough that your data will stay intact.

How to fix android intelligence service crash? Some functions don't work because of that

People say it's usually fixed by flashing the latest release of Syberia & NikGapps Full Package. Try that first.

Strange thing is, I myself have that problem even though I clean flashed the latest build and the latest NikGapps🤔 Anyone else?
u need some pixel module like pixelify or extrapixel

Kernel source linked in OP. What nonsense is it to think that for 12 android there must be a branch 12? The name of the branch is irrelevant. Denny works every day to introduce unique features, remember, every day! This is a gigantic job. Do you just want to copy this and build under your own name? Funny))) I would not be surprised at such a situation: Denny gives you all his functions and after that a new theme appears called "Kernel. OP6. Unique". And you get a donation for it.

Ok, let's go for the god damn LICENCE understanding... again...

This Android Kernel use the GNU GPL V2 (like ~almost every android kernel, you'll understand why soon)

It may be easier to understand with this: https://choosealicense.com/licenses/gpl-2.0/

Here's a digest of what applies to this project's kernel:

    Permissions:
    - Not Commercial use (Did anyone pay for this?)
    - Is Distribution (even if compiled)
    - Has Modification based on original (I suppose)
    - Not for Private use (as it's distributed)

    Conditions:
    - Must Disclose source (let's talk about that later)
    - Must License and copyright notice (In short, must state Licence with disclosed sources)
    - Must use Same license (if distributed, that's why ~almost every android kernel have the same LICENCE)
    - Must State changes (if distributed, that's why most of the time, SVM like git are used)

    Problem:
    - The latest changelog (and before that also) talk about kernel changes, but none of the kernel repo (gerrit / github) reflects those changes
    - What nonsense is it to think that for 12 android there must be a branch 12? Well, we don't need a branch for that, but we need commits reflecting thoses changes:
    Kernel:
    - Merged linux 4.9.295
    - Fully implemented GS101 (Pixel 6) scheduler based on tracepoint hooks

    ----

So, should I care? yes, because at first sight it literally looks out-law (GNU GPL v2 Legal Status)

BUT, This thread has been closed and reopen for this specific reason. So I believe there's a reason it has been accepted as such. Also I, as a developer, would like to know why this is still compliant with the given LICENCE and XDA rules, I think I probably just missed something and there's no reason to this.

    ----

    My 2 cents:

I only hope there's a good reason to not disclose kernel sources because it's the reason why the android development scene is such a good place compared to apple: everyone has to share their work (here kernel), allowing people to choose the rom/system they want, allowing developers to bullet-proof the security/stability of those kernels. Forcing everyone to work together to give the best system we can.

So if the reason is just to avoid the fear of "being copied and distributed by someone else" well, you're already copying and distributing the original android kernel you forked from, which is the work of tens/hundred/thousand developers before you and it's a f*cking disrespect to think this way.

    ----

    And by the way,
    1640959122845.png

If you forked the kernel from one of those, please, at least, share it with the original team which also did unique things, designed with difficulty you are currently using...

    Hi @orb_selektor,

I don't know if it's possible, but if you could disclose the reason why this thread is still open please, you will do users a favor.

People are installing a modified kernel on their phone without knowing the modifications made,
how can we ensure it's not even malicious?
    6
I think it's appropriate brother to moderate the tone and the terms.
I believe that the topic in previous posts has already been addressed and answered.
So it looks like you still want to waste your breath and time ...
Mate, there has been great progress with OP6/A12 and believe me, we all appreciate it. No one is looking to offend or point fingers.

Its a simple question. The thread has been closed multiple times citing "no kernel source" as a reason and then re-opened again. Every time it has been re-opened, no reason has been provided. I think just providing that clarity, will end this conversation.
    3
Didn't mean to offend anyone. It was just a question. I know Denny has been doing a fantastic job and we all are very much thankful for that!

Its just that the thread has been closed multiple times quoting the same reason. So maybe a note in the OP would avoid that in the future.
You can't even imagine how many people spam him in PM in Telegram. This is just disrespect for the developer and the person. I think we need to close this conversation about the kernel.Certainly no one will get unique things, designed with such difficulty.

    @DennySPB
I really like the rom, and, well thank you and the Syberia team for the effort you put in It
I hope micro-G will fix A12 compatibility soon to return on a GSF-free device
I think, considering op6 Is about 3yo, next improvement should be on kernel, to be battery friendly the most (eventhough decreasing performances a bit)
personally I exerienced about +50% sot (from 4.5 to 6 hours) fixing performances to minimum rate, a most efficent governor could be helpfull.

i mean, se still have potentiality, It should Just be driven differently

not exactly the same, but a most effettive scaling could be a great step
