did you try connecting on different wifi networks or just yours? are the wifi networks detected? does your phone get an ip address? did you try to set your phone Mac to device's instead of random? also it could be firmware issue, which version do you use? on 12.5.4 or. 12.5.5 no issues for me

I too have the issue, that connecting to wifi in Android Setup does not work, for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks.
Yes, when it starts up in the first configuration it gives the possibility of connecting to WIFI by selecting the network it finds, check the advanced configuration when it asks for the WIFI password

Ota updater has not been a reliable solution for custom rom on this phone till now. I advise you to follow op instructions for updating. I did it this morning with twrp 3.6 and it went smoothly again
