Hi,
I'm having a pretty heavy battery drain during the night.
My phone is in plane mode (no wifi/data/bt etc..).
No AOD.
Battery goes down about 15% ! With a 1.7%/h discharge rate
Pixel Experience basically doesn't go into deep sleep (only 2% of off screen time).

I used AccuBattery to try to find the cause but I'm not sure how to find the exact source of this problem :

I reflashed MIUI 12.5.8, deep sleep works perfectly fine there :

LyDluAG[1].png

% of off screen time in deep sleep :
MIUI : 99%
PE : 2%

Discharge rate with screen off :
MIUI : 0.1% per hour
PE : 1.7% per hour

I lost 15% battery during the night with Pixel Experience (airplane mode, all apps closed).
I lost less than 1% last night on MIUI.
I lost more battery with the screen OFF than ON on PE ! how is that possible lol

I really loved how Pixel Experience looks, how clean and fast it is, but I can't accept to lose 15% battery during the night, I don't want to charge my phone every evening.

Hopefully a future version will fix that issue !

edit : just realized a lot of people are complaining about battery drain in the previous pages, glad I'm not the only one. Trying the september build to see if it's better
edit 2 : apparently PE doesn't support 256GB SD Cards... great.

Man this rom is so stable, it's definitely a daily driver and way better and smoother than MIUI, i wanted to thank the developers behind it for the effort
I just had one minor issue after one week of usage, the notification center wouldn't appear when I swipe down from the right top, the issue disappear after reboot.
Also, It would be perfect if the developers add ANX camera sometime in the future but even if it doesn't happen it's an excellent daily driver.

Could you share your experience regarding battery life ?
How much % do you lose over night in airplane mode for example ?
are you on the October build ?

Note: im a heavy user and I used to have similar SOT performance with MIUI
Overnight, the first days of usage used to drain a lot like 30% overnight without airplane mode, but the last 3 days were a lot better like 8% drain overnight
Ps: I usually charge my phone once a day

Thanks for your feedback,
8% over night is still to much in my opinion, I'm losing <1% over night on debloated MIUI !
Hopefully the next builds will fix this issue.

PS : un concitoyen ! ;D

Yes it's a matter of personal preference, personally I'd rather lose 8% with accurate timing of the notifications rather than killing everything on the background and receive notifications after 2 hours.
MIUI tries always to kill everything on the background to save battery and for me this kills the user experience
Ps: ca fait plaisir 😉

true, but you can lock applications and exclude them from the battery optimization thing ;)
and I don't need notifications when I'm sleeping haha :D

I had some battery drain problem too, i installed greenify and turned off setting called something like "prevent accidental wake-up using proximity sensor" under display settings and i think it helped. Some people on this thread gave some good suggestions what options turned off should help like play protect etc. Try to find these posts on older pages 🙂

For anyone complaining about the battery drain issue, try the September update.
I had drain issues previously that was solved with the September update.

    Hi,
I have the same battery issue since one week or two, i can lose 30-40% by night.

First i was thinking that was a bad system update but it's not because i totally reinstalled the rom and block auto updates since the first launch and the same problem appear.

I noticed that i was constantly downloading something at 20kb/s and found that was Google Play Services so i turned off background data permission (its an app who download data for google related apps such as google map, play store etc) EDIT : I also deactivated 4G data for this app for the consumption returns to normal at night but I have to reactivate for the google apps to work correctly..

Last night 9 hours off screen and only 3% lost ! It maybe a coincidence, i have to see over a complete week.

It's very hard to see the source of the problem and apps like Accubattery are pretty useless for that.

Otherwise this ROM is really great, thanks to the developers who take care of it, everything is fluid and works correctly and i wouldn't come back to MIUI !

    I apologise I didn't know the rules
Oops... But you agreed to adhere to them when you registered a few weeks ago. Consider to study them now.

How do I update to the newest version? When I check for updates it tells me there's "no new update found". Can I force update without wiping phone's data?
    Yes you can.
    - Download the Update from the PE site to your PC
    - Boot phone into recovery (assuming PE recovery)
    - Select Update
    - Open command prompt on PC
    in command prompt:
    - CD to directory with platform tools (ADB, Fastboot)
    - adb sideload <path to the rom file>
    - wait until flashing is done
    - click back button on phone
    - reboot to system

I think it's a known issue with many pixel experience builds. Redmi Note 7 also suffers from the same issue.
Github Link. Since the fix has been already committed by jhenrique09 to pixel experience source most probably the problem would be solved in the newer builds

@ZIDAN44 Is there any probability of a modified phone app, which doesn't announce recording for regions that do not have any such regulations.
You want me to add call recording feature?
