If monitoring your data use is important to you theirs plenty of apps on the Play store for that
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andcreate.app.trafficmonitor&hl=en

Again this Rom is the Bare basic rom ... you want extras go find them on an apk Store like google play or apkmirror or apkpure
Yes, of course, that's what I like about it. The fact that it's almost bare naked and runs extremely smooth. I'm using it for very basic tasks but hoping to make them as quick as possible.

However, where would I find the stock data monitor for this rom? I've tried SO MANY custom or app data trackers, but many of them seem in-accurate and have other nuances. I will use one, but the stock data tracker has always seemed the most reliable.

Battery Drain

So I got everything working fine, but something is draining the battery like I have never seen before. I installed Better battery stats, but can't get it to install as a system app so I can see partial locks.

anyone else on this have battery drain issues, or get BBS to work properly?

How would I go back to 100% stock, bootloader, recovery, system and relock the bootloader, essentially the whole she-bang?

Also, just to confirm, when you say we "must Mount - System / Cust and Data", you mean to check those boxes under the "Mount" menu, and then uncheck "Mount system partition read-only", correct? Thanks.

Actually, I went ahead and tried it again, and Nice! It worked. It already seems way faster than that fat-ass bloated stock rom.

Hi when you said you tried it again and it worked for you, did you do what you describe first and go to "Mount" menu and checked "System+Cust+Data", and then uncheck "Mount system partition read-only".

After that, you then you exit the "Mount" menu, and proceed to "Install" the ROM?

Thanks!

No known way to relock the bootloader.

Try GSam Battery Monitor if you're still trying to figure out the drain issue. Be sure to do the adb commands to give it usage access when prompted.

To be completely honest I'm not sure what I removed that caused the setting to disappear.
Was it still their in CleanRom ?

Like i said I don't really use the feature so i never noticed it being gone

No known way to relock the bootloader.
If anyone cares:

I just got my H1611 to agree to relock the bootloader, but now it doesn't boot. It really doesn't matter though, this phone had some other issues as well, like not working on the cellular network so it's going back.

If someone that knew a bit more than I do worked on it they might figure out how to get it completely back to stock, bootloader and all.

I'm going to mess with it a little more before returning it just to see what I can figure out.

What was the relock command you used?

Will the phone boot if you unlock the bootloader again?

You said it doesn't boot after relock. .. so what does happen and what does the screen show?
I'm sure if I unlocked and flashed SU it would boot, but I have already exchanged it for a new one.

What I done to get to that point was flash the stock before root images from [Guide]Huawei Ascend XT - How to update from B130 to B140 and B150 after being rooted I tried to relock at this point, but got the error "(remote: root type is risk)" so apparently there was something still left behind

So then I extracted the boot and recovery IMG files from the update.app file located in the 140 to 150 firmware updates (from the aformentiond post) using the Huawei Update Extractor, I got the ideas from The Absolute way to " Re-lock " The Bootloader post.
I booted to stock recovery and factory reset, then fastboot flashed the boot and recovery images, rebooted directly to bootloader and the relock command worked.

After the reboot it hung at the Huawei boot screen, similar to what happens when you don't have the image patched with SU.

BTW the bootloader shows phone relocked instead of locked or unlocked

Hope this helps someone....

Thanks. I'm not sure what to make of all that at the moment.

So what do you plan to do with this new phone? Maybe best to leave it unrooted for a while and verify everything works and just get a feel for how it performs bone stock. You can still disable some of the AT&T crapware on a stock XT.

Ed Zachary, the new one is 130, I am going to let it OTA to 150 by it's self before I attempt anything as I think that is where I might have jacked things up a bit, I am still using my trusty Nexus 6, but the Ascend is my wife's daily driver for the moment, so it's best that it just work properly for now.

Nice job .... I understand what you were trying to do. The one big problem with this is their is no Full update.app to revert to.
All other Huawei / Honor phones have a rollback / Full update so you can restore your phone to stock, unfortunately this one does not.

If your going to OTA the updates you can trick the phone by moving the date forward one day and check for update again until you get both of them.

the link you provided says:
3- use this relocking command " Fastboot oem relock XXXXXXXXXXXXX "
X= your Unlock Number.
Is that what worked ?
