Hey,
I am running the latest DerpFest on my 7T Pro. My cameras barely work - both Gcam, stock cam and any camera app (instagram, photomath, etc) fails to take photos, or even recognise camera input (screen is black, cannot take photo/video, laggy, etc). How do I fix this? How do I report this? Anyone else had the same issue?
This has been an issue ever since I installed the DerpFest version released on the 7th of January
Camera working fine here, what did you do prior to this starting? Not enough information.

You're probably missing required camera config or library files from installing or removing a mod or corrupt rom zip, suggest you factory reset, if that doesn't work download the latest rom zip again and sideload over top and factory reset.

I haven't done anything, except install DerpFest using sideload sometime around new year. Ever since then, I installed 3 updates to DF using sideload, and did 1 factory data reset. I'm not even rooted, DF is the only "modded/tinkered" thing on my phone.

Wow awesome! Will give a go.

Edit: Just realised I need to keep root lol, normally I flash Magisk modified boot image before I restart system and boot back into the rom. Guessing will have to re-apply root before restart either while in still in the rom using Magisk method Direct Install or restart to Fastboot mod, flash modded boot.img then boot to rom for first time.

Seems to be taking a while finalising the package installation, after first installing the update.

Edit 2: Ok speeds up once it gets to about 50% finalised.

Edit 3: Just applied Magisk method "Install to inactive Slot (After OTA)" dir3ctly after update, before restarting to retain root

Thanks again @NurKeinNeid

I request parllel apps including
Yeah @NurKeinNeid that would be great if that feature at any point gets included, the work profile method is OK but very limited, not sure if you can do it easily, but just asking friendly.

Thank you so much for the latest update and adding the toggle for Screen Off FOD, it was driving me crazy!

I used the updater and it works well, while it's very very slow but it's good to have and safer IMO

Yeah it's what I'm using at the moment but it's not very convenient. It seperates the apps on the "Island" which is the Work Profile from accessing anything on the device and also adds 2 seperate layers to the settings app categories that sometimes causes conflicting settings.

Lol @ the things ya'll bothering the developer with... Icon styles etc...

I'm more interested in more basic functionality like:
    1. Is NFC and Google Pay fully working? (Given you're using the Universal Safetynet Fix with Magisk/Zygisk)
    2. Does Android Auto work?
    3. Is the audio quality on the same level as the original OOS? (E.g. no issues when switching an active call over to Bluetooth headset, no crackling or audio that sounds "flat")

I really liked the Twitter posts regarding VRR btw :)

    1 - Working for me.
2 - I do not use Android Auto so idk.
3 - I have air pods pro and works like a charm.

I didn't understand your point, for me these are things that I value. If he thinks it's not relevant, he doesn't put it on and that's it.

I just have a few doubts. I have clean flashed the newest build with a factory reset which I do for every new build released. Now after testing for a few hours, I have failed to understand some change logs :

    1. Updated to newest ice kernel : Well the kernel version seems to be 4.14.274-perf-gb406cea41bed... which I suppose is the lineage kernel right? The ice kernel always had some name similar to ice kramel..

    2. Define slow brightness ramp animation rate : could not find this settings in Display/Auto brightness section. Let me know if someone finds it.

    3. Implement new VRR from arter97 : Is this automated? Unfortunately I could not find it anywhere in the rom settings.

    4. Rom restricted to 60Hz : Is anyone else facing this problem?
    1) perf is CAF naming convention. Lineage kernel would show 4.14.190. 1CE kernel dev just removed his branding.
    2) It's predefined in the device tree, that's nothing you can change in the settings.
    3) It's enabled by default. You can read about it here: 4) Related to 3) as well. Sorry, it's fixed now, I just missed some device specific props. Keep in mind we are probably the first AOSP ROM with these changes.
    2
This OTA update didn't solve NFC issues, still the same diagnose from previous OTA FYI
Oh I wasn't aware of it yet. Probably due to rebase from few weeks back. I will look into it.

This is a small project based on AOSP. We try to be a platform for beginners and support the Custom ROM community with our own unique contributions as well. This ROM exists thanks to inspiration of AOSiP, Thank you! #StayDerped

    Code:
/* Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

    What's broken?

Some may have already seen it coming. I was more silent for some time here. A11 is now End Of Life and I don't plan any more updates for it. I do everything alone and simply do not have the time to maintain several Android version.
