Hi,
Anyone tried and can recommend a different kernel with this rom?
Mainly from battery use prospective.

Yes . I use Nova Launcher. But this isn't the reason even if i don't use it, the application crashes. Otherwise it worked before in all previous Derp Versions with it.
I'm using KOSP currently and they just addressed this issue in their latest update, and since I'm sure these ROMs share codebases in some way, I think it would need to be fixed in the next ROM update as well.

@NurKeinNeid sorry to bother you, but did you get anywhere with the Teams and Slack issue that I raised a few weeks back?

After reading about what "trees" means, I found out that means the source code trees,

Is that feasible to merge trees to fix that issue, I'm itching to come back to Derpfest tbh 😅 but unfortunately I have many work calls through Teams and Slack.

So far this is my favorite custom ROM that has so much customization.

And if there is anyone looking for OnePlus camera, can try downloading this : https://www.gearrice.com/update/how-to-have-the-oneplus-mobile-camera-on-any-android/.

It's version 6.2.2 and has some bugs though.
- If I press video, the app will close itself.
Workaround is long press the photo button and drag the button up and then video recording works.
- Portrait mode did not work for me.
- Selfie self mirroring mode is turned on but not working.

The rest of the option like slo-mo, panorama, PRO mode works fine.

However, its a new camera version and photo taking works great with all three cameras working

You can get a magisk module as well. Iirc video works with that module.
But for some reason, in this rom, macro mode doesn't work.

Thanks for the suggestion but I haven't rooted the phone yet.
Still looking for method to do so and hopefully all my banking/work apps works.
Will check it out soon.

Update : found your advise back in Oct 2021 on how to root. successfully rooted. Now going to try to hide root to ensure all apps are working again. Thanks

Update 2 : managed to get all.my banking and office apps work as intended. Enabled all cameras in Gcam as well.

Lol @ the things ya'll bothering the developer with... Icon styles etc...

I'm more interested in more basic functionality like:
    1. Is NFC and Google Pay fully working? (Given you're using the Universal Safetynet Fix with Magisk/Zygisk)
    2. Does Android Auto work?
    3. Is the audio quality on the same level as the original OOS? (E.g. no issues when switching an active call over to Bluetooth headset, no crackling or audio that sounds "flat")

I really liked the Twitter posts regarding VRR btw :)

    1 - Working for me.
2 - I do not use Android Auto so idk.
3 - I have air pods pro and works like a charm.

I didn't understand your point, for me these are things that I value. If he thinks it's not relevant, he doesn't put it on and that's it.

I just have a few doubts. I have clean flashed the newest build with a factory reset which I do for every new build released. Now after testing for a few hours, I have failed to understand some change logs :

    1. Updated to newest ice kernel : Well the kernel version seems to be 4.14.274-perf-gb406cea41bed... which I suppose is the lineage kernel right? The ice kernel always had some name similar to ice kramel..

    2. Define slow brightness ramp animation rate : could not find this settings in Display/Auto brightness section. Let me know if someone finds it.

    3. Implement new VRR from arter97 : Is this automated? Unfortunately I could not find it anywhere in the rom settings.

    4. Rom restricted to 60Hz : Is anyone else facing this problem?
    1) perf is CAF naming convention. Lineage kernel would show 4.14.190. 1CE kernel dev just removed his branding.
    2) It's predefined in the device tree, that's nothing you can change in the settings.
    3) It's enabled by default. You can read about it here: 4) Related to 3) as well. Sorry, it's fixed now, I just missed some device specific props. Keep in mind we are probably the first AOSP ROM with these changes.
    2
This OTA update didn't solve NFC issues, still the same diagnose from previous OTA FYI
Oh I wasn't aware of it yet. Probably due to rebase from few weeks back. I will look into it.

This is a small project based on AOSP. We try to be a platform for beginners and support the Custom ROM community with our own unique contributions as well. This ROM exists thanks to inspiration of AOSiP, Thank you! #StayDerped

    Code:
/* Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

    What's broken?
    - You tell me!

Some may have already seen it coming. I was more silent for some time here. A11 is now End Of Life and I don't plan any more updates for it. I do everything alone and simply do not have the time to maintain several Android version.
