latest Version got a fingerprint bug.

#Bug: Fingerprint does work in all kind of apps, but not for unlocking lockscreen / device itself. in settings no option to delete or edit fingerprint.

btw. did a dirty flash from Pixel experience to Pixel OS. finally a nice Rom for the Redmi note 10 pro.
Pixel Experience was basically useless due too extreme abormal battery drain. Pixel OS just working fine and deep spleep state does work.
#good work
I does work for me. I added 3 fingers and i can unlock screen with it. Remember to add second lock method like pin.

Yes i got a second Lock (pin) and face unlock too. I just recognized i can indeed use Fingerprint unlock, but just with long press of the power button at the same time. No more tap to unlock. And edit fingerprint or add fingerprint still greyed out in settings. I guess its related to the dirty flash. Hence not a fault of the os. I dail drive it and i really "feel" the improvements compared to PE Rom. I also testet Project Elixir which is even faster on my Note 9 Pro. Even more responsive than Lineage

I have the fingerprint bug, I can usually fix it by rebooting into safe mode, unlocking with fingerprint, then reboot back into normal mode.

Someone knows what "Included Sevtinge's modded Leica MIUICamera app" is? Haven't heard of that camera app? Is lt like ANEx?
I have found something in a form of a magisk module. People say its way better than the stock miui cam but i cant confirm its this version included. We can wait until someone installs the rom

I think devs are aware since many users are having trouble keeping apps in the recent menu, the possible fix is to wait for the new build that will hopefully resolve this issue.
Well I will install it and wait for the update and fix
What does it mean to flash the latest MIUI, is it really a necessary step and how should I do it
    Did you mean MIUI firmware?
Is there a guide anywhere on how to install it through recovery because i cant find any tutorials on it
Please refer to flashing intructions on page 1 of this thread.
Naturally You must have a recovery installed.
Waze did crash once the first time I used it, yea. It's been fine since that one time though.
Even after resetting the app as well as uninstall it and reinstall it, the app still crashing all the time for me. Edit: I did get it to work, after faffing around with the permissions for the app. Now it's not crashing all the time
Have tested the sign in with Facebook also. Just getting a wait a few minutes and try again with that option. Also I'm not login in via email. I use my username and password
I was able to login in Insta but I had trouble with other apps such as logging in Shazam or linking my pc with wallpaper engine and few crashing apps, I'm just waiting for the next build the hopefully will fix the issues as I think the developers are aware of these problems.

PixelOS is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, themed icons, google sans fonts, Monet color based system wide theming, boot animation), a fork of OG Pixel Experience with improvements on the top of it. Huge respect to Pixel Experience team for their work, thanks to them for making this ROM possible.
In short a fully functional Pixel Experience with just the right amount of essentials.

/* Your warranty is now void.
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM

    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

On my device I've found that sometimes my phone wasn't going to deep sleep because of smp2p_sleepstate wakelock.
I've decided to disable this kernel module and see what happens. I'm using this configuration since few days and I'm rather happy with the results - I don't see any regressions after disabling the module and my battery drain issue is solved. At least from this particular reason.

So I'd like to share the build.

As always, You're flashing this at your own risk. I don't know if this will work on any other rom than PixelOS (most probably will work. I'm not sure about miui based roms. Feel free to try).

It's regular Vantom kernel, compiled with latest commit 3c6e92509e0ad1aca8419db926b2cc82b1c5acb1 (HEAD -> courbet-12.1, origin/courbet-12.1).
Following changes have been made in comparing to defconfig:
    < CONFIG_LOCALVERSION="-VantomKernel"
    > CONFIG_LOCALVERSION="-VantomKernel-Cthulhu-fhtagn"

For best results use this with Naptime app and Google play services doze option checked.
So does PixelOS Recovery support data decryption? It's a little hard to tell from this wording (since it is also by definition a custom recovery).

And if it does, is there a way to use it to mount decrypted /data and tar its contents up, with SELinux labels etc.? I'm willing to get my hands very dirty if it means I can avoid setting up the phone by hand again.
Hello, I've compiled a TWRP build that supports decrypting /data on Android 12 as well as supporting EROFS. It's a very early build but it does the job and I haven't run into any issues here. Enjoy!
