I've bumped into an interesting bug the other day.
When you finish a voice call (an actual call, not over wifi or something), the phone goes into some weird mode; you can't place or receive another call for like a minute or so. I've tried turning airplane mode on and off, to no avail.
It might have something to do with dual sim cards. At one time, I've seen a brief popup saying, 'switching SIMs' or something similar (it was really brief), so it could be that android was indeed switching between sim cards.
The problem is that this happens almost always on the road, so I don't have a logcat.

On https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/tucana/ , there are way newer firmwares available than the 12.5.4. Is this specific version mandatory, or it's just that the installation instructions are a tad outdated? @alibei ?
Thanks for your efforts! I was on a previous version before, but I needed the Face Unlock. Glad to hear that that's now working!
Quick question, before I install the latest version, can anyone recommend a good camera app which is as good as the stock MIUI camera? I'd tried GCam before, but the photo quality was terrible.

should I go ahead and use the 12.5.4 or which version is recommended?
edit: I went ahead and flashed using 13.0.1.0 (April 2022). So far so good. Installed GCam MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix_ENG.apk then, seems to be ok... so far anyway!

the only problem I've come across so far is my banking app doesn't recognise the fingerprinti am using arrow os, i think i will try to flash that one also
but the face unlock etc. works perfectly. Seems stable!
edit: I don't think there's a "Raise to Wake" function either. Not that I can see anyway..

is there any way of getting apps to recognise my fingerprint? When I go to enable biometric fingerprint unlock on the apps, all I see is a "smiley-face" but no way to add fingerprint...
Hey, i'm trying this rom from yesterday and i have 2 problems:
1. I can't decrypt with twrp (removed screen lock, still encrypted), i can flash using otg but it's uncomfortable.
2. The rom is so laggy, the most, playing games or scrolling social apps like Instagram or facebook.
There is anything i can do? I really like this rom and i would not change it
Edit: removing battery limitations, games and apps works better, more smooth but still a bit laggy.

Download it from here
Installing:
1. Download TWRP here
2. Flash TWRP
3. Wipe Dalvik/Art Cache, Cache, System and Vendor
4. Format data
5. Reboot to recovery
6. Download CipherOS and copy it to your device
7. Flash CipherOS
8. (Flash FW 12.5.4 if not already done)
Update the ROM:
1. Download the newest CipherOS version manually or through the updater
2. Remove your screen lock
3. Boot to recovery
4. Flash CipherOS in the recovery (for OTA users you find it in /data/cipheros_updates)
(OTA will be automatic in the future)
5. Wipe cache
6. Reboot
