What kind of problems with the cam atm?
On libhybris is reported as yellow, what does it means? Some support but not all the support?
Thx a lot for you're patience. I have good news to all of you. The build is running and most parts are working as they should. Atm the camera is making problems. When this will be fixed then we have a new relase..... :p

ahoy

While we all eagerly wait for SFOS2, I wonder if it's normal on N4 SFOS 1.1.6.27 that:

* GPS , proximity sensor don't work (seems to be expected on the basis of https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris
* camera does not have flash.
* screen does not follow rotation in the apps.

I am not sure whether camera flash worked earlier. However, I might have pressed a button 'No flash' in it and since there is no button to enable flash in camera software in my case, I cannot revert it. In Ubuntu touch, camera works with flash. In SFOS, flashlight app works fine as well (switching flash light on and off).

I am using MultiROM with CM12.1 as a main ROM. Main ROM has Modem 0.84, as instructed. I can make calls, SMSs, Wifi/data connection are all fine (well WIFI does sometimes require network stack restart when I switch it on). SFOS was flashed as an additional ROM.

Its just a first week on SFOS for me and so far I am quite pleased by having proper Linux on N4. Thank you for porting SFOS to this phone!

cheers

@carepack
Sorry to nag you, but any news on SFOS2?

!!!Download links removed!!! Because of unstable build. Please don't install!!!

hi @ddaggebi
no sorry please :)

We've made a decision. You all showed a heavy patience in waiting for the next release. So here it is. This release is an ALPHA BUILD.

Official sailfishos 2.0.0.10 release notes:
https://together.jolla.com/question/116056/release-notes-200saimaa-released/

changelog for mako port:
- updated middleware packages
- added preliminary gps support (no agps atm) thx to the contributor mal-

What's not working!!!
- ui rotation. The sfos api has changed a lot since 1.1.9.30. So some ported devices have problems with the appropriate sensors and the ui won't rotate for example in the messaging app. Affected devices n4 and n5 (heavy cpu load on n5)
- camera. We have no working camera in this build. The reason goes in the same direction like the ui bug

Sorry that we can't provide a build of more quality atm. We're working on it :). But it was a personal matter to provide something. So we hope you all will enjoy the build anyway. We will see what comes in again with the next update.

Can I wipe data/cache and install over top the 1.1.6 build? Should I create a fresh install?

---------- Post added at 09:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:53 PM ----------

I created a new multirom rom for this. Flashed 4.2.2, cm 10.1.3, and then Sailfish 2.0.0.10. Took a really long time to flash sailfish. Wouldn't boot though. Got stuck on Google logo. So I deleted the rom and tried again. This time flashed just cm 10.1.3 and then sailfish. The flash was faster but I still have the same hang. Stuck on Google logo. Any ideas?

I flashed it a new ROM in MultiROM (modem 0.84 in base rom, CM 10.1.3+SFOS). Booted nicely, passed intro with Wifi+GSM detected and Jolla apps installed. However, I don't have any sound: silent during a call and while its supposed to be ringing.

Theoretically it's possible to install over. I can't say what's the result of it.

@marko.vendelin

could you try to use this modem please: http://downloads.codefi.re/houstonn/for_efrant/cwm-radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1700.48.zip

0.48 was originally intended to work with sailfish. 0.84 was supposted to be working due to community testing. Please repost back if something has changed.

@radbme & @marko.vendelin
which version of multirom you're usin'?

Anybody else got the mentioned problems? Espescially the low income volume issue?

thx

Hi sailors,

I have to excuse me. I'm totally sorry that I pushed the build out to you. And I really don't know why I haven't haven't heared that. Maybe I was to focused on the camera bug. So I'm very sorry and I try to provide next image asap. I removed the download links and the image from the server.

thx for you're (hopefully) understanding....

Previous version of SFOS worked with cm12.1 and latest radio(calls not tested)...

Which file i need to flash on first file with multi Rom? It's the same?
Hi @sergio_f,i think there is a little misunderstanding. If you're usin multirom you can install cm11/12 etc. as primary rom. As secondary you have first to flash cm-10.1 and on top the sfos zip. The download link is in the first post. I'm not sure about the modem. If you have checked / will check it would be useful for others too if you would share the results. In the thread are some posts about problems with some modem versions.

ahoy and enjoy the build
