Quick question:
For rooting, is it OK to patch the provided boot.img with Magisk and then flash it via fastboot to both ab partitions ?

I dont know if there's a difference but i always patch the latest boot.img that comes with the latest build.
I use this payload dumper: https://github.com/ssut/payload-dumper-go to unpack the payload.bin that comes within the zip file of the update and dump the boot.img
And then i patch this boot.img with Magisk and boot it via fastboot with fastboot boot patched_boot.img and then i go to Magisk Manager and select Direct Install

It seems to work, the phone booted normally and root access is working

To make it easier, you can download the Magisk .apk and make it a .zip file (by just renaming it), then you can flash it in recovery.

It's 10x more convenient and saves me a lot of time since i don't need a computer.

Hi all.

So I encountered a little problem. On my phone, there's a conflict between GBoard and gesture navigation. When in any app, trying to access the alternative ponctuation signs (?! etc.) will swipe away the complete app window and access "recents", instead of selecting and typing the sign.

I haven't found a setting to prevent this, any hint?

Hi, I dirty flashed ArrowOS 13 (Jan 18 version, V13.0.9.0.SKHEUXM MIUI fw) today from ArrowOS 12.1, and everything seemed to be working fine except for the exact following issue (same app, same problem):

Multitouching should be working fine because I've done some testing with the pointer location (developer options) and every input was being detected and tracked. Following the thread from the previous post it seems that this issue was fixed with the QPR2 beta 2 release. Is this something that we can expect to be implemented automatically for the following updates?

Alternatively, is it possible to downgrade back to ArrowOS 12.1 by flashing the corresponding ROM?

One good news for me. In my city you can have contactless tickets for the public transports. With the official MIUI it only worked in buses, but not at the tram station (no NFC detection at all). I tested it again with ArrowsOS and at my surprise, it worked just fine. So the OS has an influence in NFC communications.
