I've been using since A12 and enjoying so far. Thanks for the excellent work.
The only thing I'm missing: when I touch the date/hour in the status bar nothing happens. In A12 the calendar/clock app used to open. Is there a workaround for fixing this? It was a good shortcut.

After clean flashing my phone to the latest version of ArrowOS 13.0, I have a few questions after upgrading from the previous, and now discontinued, ArrowOS 11.0.
Should I have ensured I have ensured I was on fw part MIUI V13.0.5.0.SKHMIXM before proceeding with the install? At what part of the install process should I have installed this firmware version? Is the MiFlash xiaomi-flash-tool still the best way of applying this fw?
Also, going forward, whenever you release any new updates, can I simply update through the update feature on the phone? This way, I can retain all my data/apps/etc without having to clean flash each and every time there is a new update.

Yes you can do OTA updates, you can find it in the settings. You can search for updates and when available it will download the update and instal it for you. You will keep all your apps/data.
As for the recommended firmware I think normally you first flash the firmware, and then flash the ROM. If you are not on the recommended firmware atm it's no problem. Just download the firmware, reboot to recovery, and flash firmware. You don't need Miflash.

This is a great help. When running ArrowOS 11, I ran into some problems whenever attempting to OTA update. Going forward though, I will follow your advice and hopefully everything runs smoothly once updated.
Will it be alright for me to go ahead and flash the firmware now that I've installed ArrowOS13 already? Or is it best that I install the firmware first, and proceed with the installation of ArrowOS13 afterwards? This would be good to know before I begin configuring all of my apps etc.

Yes it's fine to flash the recommended firmware now. Reboot to recovery, flash firmware, and reboot to system again.

Now I have two problems:
Smart Lock is not working for me.
Trust agent `Smart Lock` is enabled but I have no options in the Smart Lock screen. Just blank screen with smart lock description. No option.
There several apps that can no longer access geo location.

When I start the app, I see the icon in status bar indicating gps activity but the app cannot get geo location and the request times out.
Same in WhatsApp when I try to share my location. GPS icon in status bar shows up but the app cannot get a location and times out. Permissions are set for the app as well.
This happens not for all apps. Google maps or navigation apps working fine and can access geo location.

Anyway, I rolled back to 13.0.5 and it still doesn't work.
After factory reset the above problems are gone.
But then the battery was drained in <10h compared to >24h with 12.1
Rolled back to 12.1. All fine again.

I am getting a weird bug wherever after some time I comeback to an app I get a blank screen showing only my wallpaper. It happens to any app and the only way to get the app to show it's UI is to repeatedly tap de back button or go completely close it and reopen it.

i like this rom alot but there are some issues i face and i lose the joy of using the rom like locking telegram with applock - when i open the app sometimes the applock at bottom that show to use fingerprint to unlock the app just shows up and goes down so i have to open the app once again and it might happen twice,so to launch telegram i have to open the app 3 times,when i watch a video on youtube or a video player (vlc or mx player) on landscape mode and locking the screen,after unlock the screen doesnt respond ,just swipe from middle gesture works and i dont play games often but i can install a game for one or two days to play a little,so when playing wild rift or apex legends the edges of screen are not working kind of,like in lol i can't press up right part of screen to write something or to send emotes,in apex if i open the map i can't press the X to close map or even backpack and youtube revanced cannot be installed
i like the rom very much,the sound quality and loudness is amazing with moto dolby,animations and apps open speed is very smooth and fast,would be cool to get rid of those "kind of bugs" to enjoy the rom !

After having screwed up my girlfriends phone and attempting to reinstall Arrow OS 13 from scratch, I've attempted to install two Firmware versions. These are as follows:
- miui_ALIOTHGlobal_V13.0.5.0.SKHMIXM_74dd0fb2e5_12.0
- miui_ALIOTHEEAGlobal_V13.0.9.0.SKHEUXM_f9603cf7f3_12.0
With either Firmware version install, I'm getting the following error message:
Can someone please help me resolve this issue ASAP as I'm completely stuck and cannot find a solution to resume with the installation.

You probably need to flash 13.0.5.0 with Mi Flash tool

A clean install after whiping is recommended, but i dirty flashed 13 over 12.1, and 13.1 over 13 with adb sideload, and everything is working fine and all apps and settings came back. Don't forget to flash the right firmware.3Dont worry, keep arrowOS, in my opinion its the best custom ROM!

You have much better gcam ports on that group, lmc cam app also really good! Just try them and pick your favourite

Im using 13.1. Dirty flash from 13.
Smooth as butter experience2Ive been using the

and have pretty good results with little tweaking , still not as good as the stock in my opinion, Gcam can struggle to focus in Macro mode.

Reboot in fastboot. Flash arrowos recovery (boot.img and vendor_boot.img):

Reboot in ArrowOS Recovery:
fastboot reboot recovery
Make format data (Factory reset -> Format data).
Flash ROM (Apply update -> Apply from ADB):
adb sideload name.zip
Follow what show on device, should be ... Step 1/2 -> 2/2, then flashing ended, can reboot device in system. (In cmdline: If the process succeeds the output will stop at 47% and report `adb: failed to read command: Success`. In some cases it will report `adb: failed to read command: No error` which is also fine!")
If you want install separate gapps on vanilla buildtype, after flash ROM:
Advanced -> Reboot to recovery
Flash gapps (Apply update -> Apply from ADB):
adb sideload name.zip

Install updates via Updater:
Go in Settings -> System -> Updater
Downlad new build -> Install -> Reboot
Device will automatically download, install a new build and reboot.
Installation can take up to 1 hour, on 50% will stuck, it normal, just waiting (Why? - Don't forget, you now have a/b devices, a new update is installed in the background in an inactive slot, without recovery. That's why it's taking so long. Don't like? Flash manually via recovery.)

Look on device:
WIll show "Signature verification error" -> Tap "Install anyway" -> Waiting installation end.
3) Reboot into System, if you installed it after new ROM build, or Reboot into Recovery, if you want flash new ROM build.
