Do we need to install firmware on top of flashing the ROM?

Hello All, i want to use this rom (Project Elixir v3.5) and currently i am on Xiaomi.eu 22.10.12 Beta rom.
So can any one tell me the steps whether I need to update framework or vendor or not.

How to use the elixir updater? It says update available but how do I install? Will it wipe data?
So I tried updating from a a zip and it worked so, for anyone else unsure about updating, download the file then open the menu in the top right and install from zip, it worked perfectly and I kept all my data
Hello, I'd like to thank the developers for this amazing ROM first. But I encountered some issues that fps drops considerably when I pull down the notification shade, it becomes sluggish for no reason. And I'd like the option for themed icons like PE+ ROMs other than that battery life has been great and good job with this ROM actually.
Hello, I found an issue with my Mi 10T using Project Elixir 3.5 (Android 13). While screen recording, the touch responsiveness is very slow and buggy, worse than in battery saver mode. It gets from 142hz sampling rate to 71hz. Logcat in zip format + screen recording below. This makes screen recording unusable. I tried with third party screen recording apps, and the issue persists. By the way, in the screen recording, it doesn't feel like touch responsiveness is being affected. Looks like the ROM is allocating less power tu the UI than to the video encoder.

Only issue i've had is the phone not charging with a USB PD charger - it quickly switches between charging and not charging endlessly. Other devices charge fine with the same charger and cable

Yes it still has support. At the end of this month, a newer version will be released (probably 3.7 or 3.8), and the screen recording-touch response issue has been fixed in 3.6.

Thank you very much for this ROM v3.7, I have installed it and I like it very much. The only problem I've seen is the camera, it doesn't have the quality of the Xiaomi ROM, the videos skip, the stabilizer doesn't work well, there is no portrait mode. I have tried with other cameras: SGCAM_8.8.224.10_STABLE_V1Fix, MGC_8.7.250_A11_V15a_MGC and the problem continues. Any advice? The installation was done without updating firmware. What firmware can I put on it and where do I download it from?

Nope, you aren't alone. I've tried every Global and India firmware starting from 13.0.6 to the latest. None works with V3.8. Flashed using TWRP multiple times and also through the OTA Updater. Loops back to TWRP every time. 3,7 on the other hand works like a charm. Thanks for the great ROM, devs!11
Yea. I downloaded from their website. Even clean flashing (format>yes) doesn't help . -

NOTE: It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine. I can confirm the bug. Once you activate it, the toggle remains stuck and cannot be disabled anymore. Also, Network & Internet Settings menu cannot be accessed anymore (it crashes when attempting to open it).
