Anyone know a clever shortcut tool to the "sync now" option under the "Account Sync" page for a particular account? I don't want to leave sync turned on for everything all the time, just update it when I have to change something in Keep. If you've seen the last update times on items in the accounts, they just don't update timely with sync.

I've tried Activity Launcher and Create a Shortcut widgets, but not great. This was an easy one-click shortcut for the MIUI ROM. I was hoping crD9 would also be as easy, but it appears I can only shortcut to the Accounts list. I have to press 5 times to activate the "sync now."
Nova Launcher has activity shortcuts to system sync

Is anyone else having battery draining issues. I like this rom been using it for a few months. Every time a patch gets released I hope it gets fixed but I'm about to switch roms. Any suggestions?

Maybe this will help you.

Compass.

Because of many bugs up to Version 8.5 I didn't want crdoid anymore and I switched to LOS. But:
I've installed this rom yesterday.
I had to do this a few times, until I noticed that /data must be encrypted.
Since that no issues so far.
Thank You very much. Well done.

I have problems with restoring my data with twrp 3.7
On a fresh install i just backup the data and then restore it.
I can then boot the ROM, but it looks a bit different and the turn off screen does not have all the normal options. Normally this vanishes after the first reboot, but here it stays. So i dont think it is working as it should.

When I was on 8.10 build. The battery was all good. Until one day (without any updates, it just happened) I've noticed very high battery drain. It was Google play services (Google gms constantly in mat log). I obviously tried a clean flash a few times but didn't work. This forced me to CrDroid 9 which so far has no battery issue for me.

First I flashed stock rom and run it, then flashed CrDroid to avoid any previous Google data/apps backing up and restoring when flashing crdroid rom. I may be wrong but I suspect 'backing up and restoring' all Google apps when flashing this rom was actually restoring the apps together with the 'battery drain issue'. That's just my thinking

I'd love to install this ROM as it seems like an alternative to lineageos (no google), It's just incompatibility with twrp that is holding me back
I would definitely give it a go. The best ROM I've tried. Not keen on lineageOS, as far as I know only an unofficial version is available on android 11. If it was on android 12 then maybe but I'm sticking with CrDroid :)

Just use orange fox recovery it's basically like TWRP but more functions and different look
Orange Fox is very outdated and has trouble decrypting data for me with crDroid 9.

What incompatibility? A13 might not be supported but I didn't run into any issues.

Yeah. CRDroid 9.1 here, January update. ROM works fine for a few weeks, then starts draining 20-30% during the night. GSM doze may or may not help, I can't root my phone due to a stubborn banking app.

No support in telegram, no fixes or solutions offered by dev team. I'll just go back to Arrowos, this isn't worth the headache.

Did you've tried lineageos 20 vanilla or like me the pulkits ensemble?
at the time I was instaling my phone there was no vanilla lineageos 20 ROM. I tried pulkits lineage, but as said it wasn't a lineage, it was rather a pixel rom with bloated gapps. so I ended up using vanilla crdroid, and it was actually great, except the latest buggy release and some rumours of miui parts that are still calling home.

if the current problems get solved anytime soon, I don't see a necessity to move to another rom. so I just wait and see how everything turns out.

Mine still drains battery. From loading over night until I'm at work, not using the phone at all, mostly 10% are already gone.
    Hi Jack,

Try Aghisna kernel. The build of 14th March is great. The one of 18th March drains battery. Hope this helps :)

The Leica camera added on the latest build, awesome!! Clean flashed with the latest NikG apps. Now it forces Pixel launcher and I don't see Crdroid home which I think was better. Also I've noticed the parallel space not working (pixel launcher keeps crashing when activated this function). Battery seems fine. I haven't found any other bugs yet. Tried a couple of different ROMs and this one is really the best for me! Thank you developers for your hard work 👍

Update: clean flashed with older NikGapps. Crdroid home is so much better than Pixel launcher. Also parallel space works fine! Awesome!!

Maybe it is the fact CrDroid is based on Miui Vendor and most other custom has OSS vendor.
I don't know if other roms, based on Miui vendor has the same touch issue.
i dont know, but after 2 years, 3 different version of android and more release all with same bugs for me crdroid has ended my time.. i tried (and will try) more and more roms, are all similar, i haven't reason for use this.. (LOS20 work perfect)

Nice :D I really don't understand why so many people just say wipe everything and make a clean install. Even with backups of everything I still need 1 or 2 full days to completely redo all my system customizations and it's such an insane amount of work.

I had been using crDroid for about a year, I really like the ROM and I decided to do a clean install to version 9 (A13). Everything works including MTP, camera, bluetooth, wifi, hotspot.. I didn't find any problems in use, but... but there is a battery drain problem, the phone in airplane mode consumed 20% of the battery in 8 hours battery, while before with the same apps installed the consumption in this mode was about 3%, I hope that you will be able to have a good battery life even with this ROM because currently with moderate use of the phone, you are not even able to get to the end of the day with 5000mha of battery. I thank the developer for the excellent work done so far and I look forward to solving these problems.
    Thank you!

Ok. Finally got Magisk working with banking and intune company portal app. Thank you @Laptapper for valuable hint.

    2 3 things to remember.

If you are installing Magisk after installing all other apps, its good. You will see all apps you need to hide in Zygisk. BUT after installing Magisk,

    1. Reboot your phone first.
    2. DONT open anything. First open Magisk and hide it in settings.
    3. Enable Zygisk and add apps in denylist there Eg banking apps, intune company portal etc.
    4. Hide every google process (tip. Enable "Show system apps" and "Show os apps". Blindly hide all google process there).
    5. Clear cache and storage of not only google but all the apps also which you have hidden in zygisk denylist. This may result in reconfigure the apps again like login again etc.
    6. Reboot the phone again.
    7. Now open all the apps and configure.

For Outlook and MS Team, delete and add the work account again.

Some feedback about new build of 23Dec.

Ok. Dirty flashed the new 23Dec build of this ROM over 17Dec build. Long press on home button still not working. I mean not doing anything.

Another issue which I found was Alarm was not working in 17Dec build.IIts working in 23Dec Build.

Another issue which I found is when you try to change the font from settings-- crdroid setting -- user interface -- font, it will only be applied to system settings and not to other areas like app drawer or whatsapp. In earlier version, changing fonts gets applied to all areas like app drawer and whatsapp also.

Touch is comparatively better than 17Dec build. Atleast in last 1 hour usages.

And that Battery drain issue is back. Lost 6% in 1 hour of usage. Lets monitor this for another week or two. Lets hope this 6% is only because of my usages.

Thanks once again @Laptapper and @HidetoraChishu

This thread is not as up to date as the Telegram one is.
The storage problem will not occur when using this TWRP.
You should think that we don't all have telegram accounts ... I don't have one...
