No, that can't be it because for the first time (I think) Android actually shows the percentage of the keyboard battery in the bluetooth quicksettings and it was over 90%. Also I let the keyboard charge a bit.
Yeah, keyboard is always like 95% or above.

I restarted the tablet, and seem to have a more steady connection now. We'll see how that goes. Awesome build! It's amazing that you were able to get this thing running so smoothy 7 years post-release michie!

It makes me think about switching from crdroid to arrow. i guess:
1. what are the major differences from a usage, battery, & optimization standpoint?
2. they both seem awesome (tnx michie), but what is each rom intended for?
3. pros & cons of each
4. which one will see more updates & features added, if known
5. any additional info shared by users of each, is appreciated.

either way, michie, is the man for continued support of these old devices.

Great deals I thought mine was a steal NIB for $20 lol
I've re-fallen in love with this device! Best "laplet" I could get for $130 (actually, I can't think of a better "laplet" for any price). Can't wait to pull it out on my next flight and have most passengers wonder "dafuq is this awesome device!?" :)

I do seem to be experiencing the keyboard "drops" mentioned in this thread. Hopefully, the benevolent @michie fixes that in the near future...

If the camera gets sorted out - I'm not going to use a laptop for Meet/Zoom/Teams any time soon.

What I have found so far in relation to the keyboard issue is this.

1. pair the keyboard and it works initially.
2. sleep or restart the device and the keyboard will connect but not work.
3. later that day the tablet asks to enter the pairing code, reconnects and keyboard is working.
4. even after reboot the keyboard connects and seems to keep working.

I am not a developer but this is what I have found, I do not know if this is helpful.

YouTube TV doesn't appear to be working for me. Giving me "something went wrong" error. I'm passing SafetyNet and have it checked off in my DenyList in Magisk.

Any thoughts? Is it the video codec? I'm on the latest build.

EDIT: It almost acts like it wants to play a channel, then borks at the end. FYI - YouTube itself works no problem.

EDIT 2: I tried it in Edge, but get the "video format is not supported" error. I'm guessing that's related to the codec.

What was the trigger for "3"?

Not sure what's new, but I just installed the December 3rd, 2022 build (dirty flash) and it seems to be working just as well as the previous builds.

Not much, I cleaned the device tree and vendor some more. Also switched back to our old firmware as the new brought more problems than improvements.

Spent the whole weekend trying to upgrade our wifi/bluetooth driver in the kernel but unfortunately didnt succeed yet. Our device is running on the chromeos kernel instead of android so it's missing alot of code and differs alot. Changing one thing breaks another etc...

@michie,

What's the setting in this ROM where I can disable "Background Refresh"...so that I can keep an app running when I switch to another app and then come back...so the app won't restart on me?
Depends on the apps, but keep in mind our RAM is limited on Dragon. I find memory management on this ROM is excellent, I can swipe between apps and actually multitask now whereas before it was a no go.
I wish I knew what triggered the request to re-pair and enter the needed code on the keyboard. It seemed to happen after a lengthy time (4 to 5 hours) when the tablet was sleeping.
Mine seemed to be happier after I unpaired and repaired, ymmv. Before I did that it was paired but would not accept keystrokes

Google Pixel C
Question:
This might not be ROM related, because I didn't try this before I started using ArrowOS, but..
I have a music collection on a thumbdrive. I can transfer files from it to the Pixel just fine, but not a single music app I try can see the music on the thumbdrive. That is,except for the music player built into the Total Commander app.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

I think Android 13 manages external storage permissions for apps differently - might need to check detailed permissions

New build up, fixes on par with Lineage and PE

Dirty flash just fine over the build I installed back in November. The other one was causing some battery drain much faster the LOS in battery saver mode. Recently the tablet was dying in a few days vs. a few weeks. I am hoping this update solves that one. Thanks again for keeping this one alive. Let me know if you need me send you a beer!

thank you very much for all the work and bringing life back to our pixels c.
What next changes are you planning to bring? Do you think it will be possible to bring back 2k youtube or fullhd netflix?
What are the pros of that shield 9.0.0 firmware?
    Thank you again
I've put alot of work and time in our device tree to clean and upgrade everything I can which makes it easier to port future android versions. Will check if I can make it treble compatible too.

The firmware itself wont make much difference without decent kernel drivers supporting it but let's see what I can do with our old kernel.

With spoofing we might be able to bring back widevine but let's do one step at a time 😁

My dad bought a 2022 mid range tablet. Feels way more sluggish compared to the pixel now 😎

    New build up!

    - Updated CPU firmware to Shield 9.0.0
    - Updated GPU firmware to Shield 9.0.0
    - Updated xusb firmware to Shield 9.0.0
    - Fixed Led bar behaviour: Made my own variation to have a dimmed lightbar when screen is on so it does not disturb in dark rooms and turns off at screen off.

    Also cleaned our device tree.
